Haha, yes, that's been said quite a lot about some of my works.  There is some innocence that lies under the dirt.  For me, the real horror always comes in bright colours, dressed in so-called 'joy', and not in what people call 'creepy'.

Yeah, i think kinda the same way there. Real horror often doesn't want to be revealed.
Creepy stuff has some true honesty and relief in it.
I think it is kinda strange, that the mankind always wants to see theunrealistic  "perfectly beautiful" things in life as a rule
and is fearing the "creepy", instead of the mostly more dangerous shadows covered in faked perfection.

maybe i have gone a bit far in this topic...
but for myself i just love the more creepy surreal worlds ^^.
( Can't tell if my english is good enough. But i hope you understand what i say at least. x3)

This is a photomanip, done with Photoshop & Gimp and my Wacom Intuos tablet. I made the textures with Gimp.
