Just a Sweeney sketch I did in with a black pen I found in my room. Started out as a doodle, then I decided I actually liked it LOL. I didn't use any reference, so go easy on me.
I bet he has one hell of an evil laugh. Too bad we never got to hear it. :C

And do me a favor, if you have a youtube account, please yell at all the ignorant people comparing all the VERY different versions of Sweeney (stage to 2007 movie, 2007 movie to original NON MUSICAL black and white movie that isnt even based off the same story line... ugh some people)

Oh boy, I don't even really see HOW you can compare all of those. :/ They're all different. There's no right way to tell an urban legend: there's so many variations of every story that there just can't be a "right" one.

Wow I really like the way you shade. Especially in this picture it kinda seems as if it would be carved in wood. Perhaps this is also because my screen makes your picture looking brown instead of black o__O
However, I think Sweeney's smile looks great, as his whole expression actually does. And I totally agree with you, I wish there was a scene were he started an evil laughter or at least, you know, this kind of insane grinning. There are just too many moments I imagine him like this...
Back to your picture, in my opinion the sleeves look awesome. I really like how you drew the folds and shaded them!
There is just one thing that is kinda bothering me (I am sorry I have to mention it 
Anyway, all in all I think it is a very good picture!

You're not going crazy, I edited the color in Photoshop to make it more red.
Agreed!! There were just too many missed opportunities for a good evil laugh or maniacal grin. ;^;

Well sometimes it depends on the computer screen how the colours turn out, so I thought the one I currently use might not be that good. (Which I already believe by the way)
However, I like that you changed the colour a little 
Your totally right! And even if they don't have a scene with this evil laugh I would have been so happy about bloopers or something like that. I kinda think there were a lot of scenes when they might have bursted out into laughter. Especially since they were singing.
Oh the sleeves are amazing! And so is your whole shading anyway. I hope it was okay to mention the nose, but as you have said, now it is brought to your attention. Well and actually, that is what happens to me all the time (my noses are too long though) and I am always glad when someone brings my mistakes, I wouldn't notice, to my attention. That's why I mentioned it
