a piece i did last semester. my current direction is the representation of isolation. im just now begining to grasp the many directions i could take within this concept. for now though, im still experimenting....let me know what you think!Related content

Isolation comes from in a ton of forms. Its even stranger when its among a ton of people.
I like the way the contortion of the person shows how much being alone can twist us. Its really good.

This is my favorite one in your series. The pose is perfect - I especially love how you positioned the hands, and the semi-concealment of the face. The color works well in the way you mentioned above, too, and the your line variation makes me swoon. Visually, I like how what she's lying on is white - conceptually, maybe the color should be there too? I don't know, it could go either way I suppose, as it's still different from the figure.

Its taken me forever to get to this point. I've never been, and know I never will be completely satisfied by my work, but thereβs something in the pursuit, and the act of creating that keeps me going. thanks for the comment!

i feel pretty isolated when i look at this one. the color that you used for the background means many things to me. first it seems as if it is the hint of an isolated desert and the person has reached their wits end traveling it. second it seems as if the sun is just setting on a very bad day and the person hasn't found what they were looking for yet. powerful stuff!

thanks. for me, the color in the background represents life....more so the life which the figure is isolated from, indicated by the absense of the color within the figure.

i didnt think of it that way. life to me is blue or green or something. (but that is just me!) either way, its a great piece. all of your stuff is so neat to look at. lots of little stuff that makes the viewer want to come back to see if they missed anything the first time.
