Description
Merriwether, Tina and Io, some of the mercenaries at Drillstone Academy.I've been working on this piece 20 minutes here and there for about 3 weeks and huzzah, this last 20 minutes got it finished. ^^
Some of you might recognise Merriwether from *animeflux 's beautiful pic of her
Normally she hates getting wet, but berry spring is toasty and warm, so it's an exception to the rule, also...I wanted to draw her in a bikini XD

Yep, she's a water Mage, and somewhat ironically hates it. Being cold and wet gives you the flu!

Cool stuff indeed. Love how you depict the scenery! Is this something that you went to school to learn, or is it something that came naturally with practice?

I did a fine art degree, but it didn't involve a lot of scenery drawing. I'm still very much a novice at backgrounds so I rerence a lot of pictures to do them. Hopefully I'll get to the stage where I can just produce them from my head XD

Yeah, it takes a bit of getting used too, and photoshop is better for a lot of things, but I've been using it for so long now that I just don't colour very well in other programmes. xD

That's great. I just tried to use Gimp the other day to do some random thing, and I threw my hands up and was all like, "gah!" Haha.

haha, my hubby is a photoshop user and it took him ages to come around because the shortcuts are different and things are in weird places. XD
