While the Lady Winnifred hastened to her audience with the King, Celeste was making haste to her chamber for within the hour Gwen would be in her arms again.
She was overjoyed for she loved Gwen truly and would die for her if necessary.

Why might you might ask didn't Gwen simply leave the castle with Celeste if they wished to be together, if only it were as simple as that.........unfortunately she was one of Leo's hunt women........she had been taken on a raid and although she had been nothing more than a nights pleasure to him....... actually he had been heard to remark the next morning that it had NOT been that much of a pleasure, however he never gave up what was his unless it were to death itself.

So Celeste had come up with a plan to steal her away from the castle, hopefully the Prince would never notice she had gone, for it was well known he had grown tired of her after that first night.

The lady Winnifred didn't as yet know of Celeste's plan to steal Leo's woman but she was sure Winnifred would help them when they told her of their love for each other and of course Winnifred hated the King and Leo and hate is a good enough motivator for anyone.

The opening of the chamber door stopped further thought of plans or Winnifred..... for Gwen was walking slowly across the room towards her......her face full of joy, Celeste opened her arms and Gwen rushed into them.......they looked deep into each others eyes, whatever might happen on the morrow they would have this night and they were thankful for it......
