Description
Admittedly, this might be a placeholder scan until I can get a more accurate one of the drawing. Graphite is tricky in that whenever I go to scan it, the scan ends up making the art look way more sloppy than it does in real life. All squabbles aside, though, Diancie has really been growing on my as a Pokemon. She was my first event legendary ever, and I felt super lucky that I was able to get the download card for her in the first place. ^v^ I was super pumped when I was able to transfer mine to ORAS and get the mega stone, too! This has to be one of my favorite megas in terms of design, and I hear that it's no slouch in competitive play either.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy what I have thus far of this diamond fairy princess pokemon, and expect to see a better scan of the art coming in the futute!

Ooooh! Two page spread. > I likes it! Actually, that weird blue line that the scanner gave it is kind of cool... Maybe it could be a portal?
I always love the effect that graphite gives a piece; it makes it look so professional, and practically does the shading for you!

Ah, I never thought of that! It definitely does look kind of like a portal or something now that you mention it! ^v^ And totally! I love how forgiving graphite is that way. >v<

Thanks so much! ^v^ Part of the reason I was able to get the shadows to some out sharper, though, was because I had some of the darker and lighter weight pencil leads to help create a strong contrast. Like, I used 8B and 6B graphite to create a lot of the stronger shadows, so I guess I kind of "cheated" at it in a way. >v<''

Aww, thank you! Wait until I get the scan to pick up the eraser highlights more- I was able to pull of the illusion in the sketch that there is light reflecting through the jewels on her, and I hope I can get my scanner to pick that detail up soon. Thank you so much! ^v^
