What does one do when they start to reach that point where age is beginning to show, a time when all the harsh realities of life start to become apparent in one’s demeanor and face? To what device shall one turn to in order to escape their life, when abuse has been an everyday occurrence? This image is the first in a series of shots which study the emotion and deadening of emotion brought about by a decline in one’s youth when coupled with being trapped in an abusive relationship. In this series, the woman’s escape comes in the form of alcohol but can one really escape from the path they walk? Can this woman escape from the path she has chosen?
