"Sonic opened his eyes to find himself surrounded by darkness.
He couldn't see a thing. He turned his head around and his eyes finally adjusted to see…himself?

He was staring at his own reflection, but a different version of himself:
a werehog. He hesitantly reached a gloved hand forward and touched the glass as the werehog simultaneously repeated the motion with its claws."

((The refers to this scene in the last chapter, starting around 11:49 and ending at 12:15.
