Yes, uncreative title.This was the Christmas card I sent along with ~Velvet-Universe 's gift. She already got it and I told her to open it, and she did so now I can post this without feeling guilty.
I was originally going to draw her something else, but while riding in the car I had the great idea to draw these two under mistletoe~
I really love doing traditional art, I just feel like it doesn't look nearly as good when I scan it in as it does in person...
I almost feel like I should've put a lipstick stain on Felix's cheek... but maybe subtlety is better?

Awww, cute!! I finally got to see this movie today, and I loved it! I had talked about seeing it with a couple of people, but nothing really came of it so I just said screw it and went by myself. lol Totally worth it. I think you really captured their personalities well here. And I for one like your subtlety, Calhoun doesn't seem like one to really put her heart out for the world to see. lol
I feel your pain about scanning traditional art... I love markers but think I've given up on doing anything really polished with them. Loose and sketchy, I'm fine, but if I'm like "I need to color within this line" all hell breaks loose and the color bleeds everywhere! Hahaha Then trying to get the colors right through a camera or scanner. *sigh* Anyways, for not looking as good as it does in person, this still looks very nice.

I'm so in love with this movie, I'm glad to hear you saw it and liked it! And that was my feeling, too, which is why I did it the way I did... Felix is just too adorable...
Haha that's how it usually works out for me, too... I try to color in the lines and then I mess up (I clone stamped the hell out of this once I'd scanned it to get rid of all the bleeding edges) Generally I can get the levels tool to work for my colors at least, but everything looks really fuzzy... I mostly save my traditional art for sending tiny cards with gifts because I feel like it's another personal touch...
And I haven't! I was just about to check tumblr, so I'll definitely check it out!

Traditional art never looks as good scanned or photographed as it does in person. Dx it can be very annoying.
