Description

When I read that Nill's boundary is a himalayan birch tree, which grows in the mountains, I just had to paint these two in a birch forest somewhere on the uplands, where their biomes overlap (in the first sketch I even meant to show the ground being a gentle slope, but I didn't quite make it when it came to painting). Nill belongs to the wonderful Maleficial , we talked once that Dante and Nill could be an interesting pair of friends, and I believe they would understand each other surprisingly well. Dante feels the deep loneliness Nill's soul resonates with and tries to drag her out of her dark thoughts every now and then. He doesn't mind her venting her sorrows to him, and the two can stroll down the woods for hours, either talking or sharing a meaningful silence.

Thank you Maleficial for letting our esk kids be friends. Nill's design is so so so beautiful and painting her different shades of purple-ish gray was a great fun.
