Hey there I am from
I am at a loss of words at how incredible this piece is. The composition is phenomenal. The warm color pallet contrasting with her cooler blue hair really helps Rei pop out from the background. Which speaking of, the background is phenomonal, I absolutely love the details you put in the clouds and building reflections that give the city a lot of great depth. I also think the juxtaposition of Rei and Unit 01 adds so much depth to it, so fantastic job on the background. There are a few grips I have this though with some possible solutions. Rei’s Dress is rather odd in terms of design. The shirt area looks like she has a bib on the shirt so it kind of throws me off a bit and just feels completely detached from her dress. Also, the skirt frills seem to oddly separate from one another too. A solution to this is to perhaps remove the line from the third frill and connect it to the second). In terms of the eyes. The eye on her right needs to be hiding behind the piece of hair (its a minor nitpick I have that I noticed from my many years of watching anime). Overall this is a fantastic composition with a very clear story and fantastic background and really shows a lot of love to Rei put into it. AND PLEASE TELL ME YOU SECRETS TO HOW YOU MAKE THOSE CLOUDS SO GOOD!

hi hi! i'm from
in general, I think the character looks cute here! the colours look great, the expression although a bit neutral, suits the character imo!
one thing I've noticed is that the folding on the shirt seems a bit strange. like the front seems separated from the rest of the shirt.
I love the background, the clouds and the buildings are so detailed and beautiful! (also I love the Eva in the background asjkddsF) and like I was saying even though the background is so detailed the focus still seems to be on Rei which is a great detail^^
also, the colours look great. I love how you shaded the clouds with warm colours, so the drawing looks nicely balanced with both cold and warm colour!
also, the anatomy of the body seems a bit incorrect, like her entire body except the torso(esp. arms) seem to be in a 3/4 view while the mentioned earlier torso seems to be facing the front (ugh I hope that made sense. but other than that your anatomy's great!
I also think the hair could use a little more shading but that's just a personal opinion haha-
also, I love the aesthetic it gives off. it looks like it took place on a windy day (when the kids finally get their day off from piloting oof-)
anyways I hope this makes sense, and I can't wait to see more of your pieces!

Hello, I saw your art on project comment. Several things drew my attention. I love her blue hair and the contrast with her eyes. The background draws you into a story. That's one of the most important aspects of good art, in my opinion. The robot and that you've name the piece "Get in the Robot" reminds me of a video game. I also like how the clouds show up behind the buildings giving the impression that they are glass. I think the proportions are done well. You can tell she is on top of a building so the background is kind of the same height. The wind is noticeable due to her dress blowing up. I like that she has bright colors in just a few spots. It does not oversaturate the picture. It is good work. I enjoyed looking at your art!

The sky here is awesom-graphic and colorfull at the same time! I realy have tough times whith backgrounds.
By the way, the edge of her T-shirt should be slightly rounded. It's not paper to form such corners.
U can use a little tip when you draw adges of clothes :
Draw the full round borders(collar, sleeves, legs, hem)
Сonnect them with fabric lines
And erase unnecessary parts

Hello! i liked how fluid you drew the dress of your character! as if it a wind actually passes it! maybe a little work on the glass reflections though. but overall i liked how you painted your artwork! keep up your wonderful works and don't give up!

I dunno why it is, but clouds are really fun and easy for me to do. They might've been the first thing I tried to paint when doing digital.
I think.

The truth is that your art is quite beautiful, I see something strange the eva but maybe it's my thing. I really like the background and the textures of the clouds catch me, how have you achieved that texture? By the way, I would like to know what program you use to illustrate?

Thanks!
I use Clip Studio Paint, and I just used a basic inking and soft airbrush (with a very small amount of grain to avoid banding).
The texture in the clouds I mostly achieved by manually picking the colors by hand and layering the lighter colors on top of the shadows with the inking brush to get that solid, opaque look. Occasionally I would soften some of the deeper shadows with an airbrush to make a couple of them fade into the background!

The result is incredible.
I usually use illustrator or paint tool sai, I don't get along very well with clip studio paint, I get tangled up a bit and since I don't know the 100% program it is super difficult to handle it (maybe I give up very fast hahaha)
Do you think there are differences between clip studio and paint tool sai? (I mean if there are differences in the final result of the illustration)
