Gender War Factory

I look forward to the day I never have to read another newspaper piece blaming feminists for the "decline of civilisation" and beating up "the gender war" or "the battle of the sexes". I mean, how can treating such fundamental interpersonal relationships as if they were a war be good for humanity? This is not to say I believe women's quest for a fair go is over. Far from it. Sure, women have made great advances over the past century, but patriarchy remains a destructive, limiting force for both men and women, and its end cannot come too soon.

The newspaper I work for has moved its office into an industrial complex with lots of old and dingy warehouses out the back. These mannequins sit on the first floor ledge of a shopfitters warehouse. I can't help staring at them every time I go for a fag break (don't lecture me, I plan to quit smoking within a fortnight). In a few weeks I'll upload an alternative B&W version with better lighting and a slightly different arrangement. This was a quick digital snap to tide me over
