Description
Oil on canvas, 18x24"Some duckies learning to fly in an abstract space. This was intended to be similar to the larger 'Duckies Of the 8th Dimension' which I liked so much. I've done a few more after quite similar, some in acrylics, and some watercolors. And quite a few more with duckies, of course, my spirit animal
Wacky Doodle #5, finished around 2011 I think? or 2010. (I didn't number things in order I created them, but as I add them to my digital collection).

it is, though i've gotten a few 'it would be better without the duckies' comments from serious-minded artists. i think humor is a higher art form than painting though, in a way? more universal anyway. i have begun a couple similar paintings without the ducks for comparison.

In abstract space they have energy lines to follow! I think it is beautiful and I am sure that kids will understand this painting!

i do have a little bit of a fetish for duckies, recently. i have no idea where that comes from, though it may be my sister's house. i go over there and they're everywhere, the shower curtains, painting on the wall, kids rooms... it probably just worked its way into my consciousness subliminally. oh no, wait, i remember, i wanted to do like modernish abstracts that would also appeal to children, so i threw in some ducks into an abstract landscape. my sinister plan, appeal to a widest possible slice of the population!! muahahahah
