one of the recent pieces i've completed. taken with my new crepe paper roses, which i made from a kit i bought on etsy. i'm really impressed with how they turned out!

also, where do you hide the ends of the wire? in the trunk of the tree, or do you tuck them back into the stone chips? (I'm trying to make one, I hope you don't mind!)

well, there's a couple of different things you can do, either wrap the ends around the frame, (which is what i do now), tuck the ends of the wire into the stones if the holes are large enough, or add more bulk to the tree by going around the branches with the wire ends and more stones (i would imagine you could tuck the ends into the trunk/do knotholes this way).
so i wrap the ends around the frame, but there are lots of different ways you can do it.

got it. good ideas, thank you I was worried about the cut wire being sharp and scratchy, so maybe i will tuck the ends in somewhere. Off to play with what I can find!
thank you for the advice

i try and file the ends when i can (don't do it as often as i should... ) and i clip them so the cut end is not poking out on either side that might touch the skin.

Ugh, I always love the Peridot and copper! b-e-a-utiful! <3 I know this is more of a standard piece for you, but its good to stick with the tried and true stuff sometimes
I have to ask, do you make the frames for each pendant out of thicker (maybe 16g) wire? Or do you buy them pre-made? It looks like you do them yourself, but i wasn't sure.

thank you! and yes, it is good to stick to basics sometimes. although i have a tendency to get in a rut with 'basics' sometimes.
and yes, i do make all the frames myself. i've found various objects around the house with which to wrap the different shapes. and i do use 16g wire.

That's what I'm doing! I found some pretty scissors, and I am working on them almost as i type this (almost, because both tasks require more than one hand to do well) come look at them when I get em finished, tell me what you think! I don't want to steal your lovely tree thing, but I do enjoy wrapping stone chips and wire and seeing what I get. Gotta find more stuff to wrap I guess!
