I took a small break from fan art, just for a wee change.Inspired by the old legends surrounding Corgis and their origin as faerie mounts. I thought that was just the cutest dang idea ever! ^_^
They are such agile dogs that employing them as mounts would assure swift travel. They're also very good jumpers ( I learned this the hard way when ours started pilfering stuff off of high surfaces ), so obstacles wouldn't be such a big deal.
Corgi butts are poofy. :3

I knoowww! I wish I could have a puppy mount, but unfortunately my Corgi would probably break his poor wee spine. Maybe I'll make him a little saddle and plush faerie for the ren faire... So then he can rip both off of his back and chew 'em to bits. XD
I still don't know why Repede puts up with plushies on him!

Yeah, I don't know why Repede puts up with having plushies all over him either. The plushies can be anywhere from his saddle to his tail. XD
The only dog I have is a piebald dachshund who doesn't like to have anything on his body other than his fur(which is a given) XD. My other dog, Scooby, who passed away a bit ago, was a mix breed between a dachshund, a terrier and a beagle... at least we think, and she hated having things on her too. XD
Why is Repede the only dog that likes things on his back??? Oh well, I still love the picture, it's sooooo cute! XD

Then when we adopted our Corgi, I came across that little bit of legend while reading up on other Corgi facts ( it's in the wiki, apparently... [link] ^_^

Oh my, this is so cute! Those adorable little clothes on the Corgi... so awesome. I don't know if you intentionally did this, but it looks like you left the gender of the fairy open to interpretation? Nice.

I actually did just rather leave the faerie's gender a bit ambiguous, since I couldn't decide what I wanted it to be, and in a story I wrote ages ago, all the faeries were both genders in different respects, to prevent endangerment. XD
I think it's a girl, though. *shrugs* ^_^;

Thankies much! It's always fun coming up with little ideas regarding faeries, though I don't know why. I think it's because everything is so tiny and cute, and often made of stuff like acorns and leaves and such. ^_^

Yeah, it's definitely inspiring I think. They're whimsical and I think that encourages the imagination to go a bit more wild than it would with someone more constrained like...sci-fi haha. Magic is a bit more...crazy, I guess. 
And I could totally see you make a series out of this.

Yeah, I like them both as well. I realized growing up I'm not much for high fantasy as much as I am low fantasy and then I found that I really gravitate more towards cyberpunk and the like for sci-fi. I think it's because I can relate better to it. It made me think that I wasn't a good fantasy fan though. XD Oh well.

I had never heard those terms before! I guess I like both high and low fantasy pretty equally, from what I read about them. ^_^;
Cyberpunk is a lot of fun, too, though I'm a sucker for Steampunk, in general. It's lovely having so many worlds to choose from when you're imagining!

You might like A Song of Ice and Fire series, it's low fantasy with a lot of good character development and intrigue.
