Chapter Three.

As you turned you immediately slammed into someone rather tall, the strong scent of expensive cologne filled your nose. A sudden chill of fear danced up your spine as you looked up….

“Ah, (Y/n), you’re late.” A strongly accented voice said in an almost too cheery voice. The man stood in front of you, his towering frame blocking the lights from the hotel. You gulped loudly as your (e/c) eyes ran up the tall mans black vest that was almost too clean and clung to his slender frame. His white sleeved arms were resting on his slightly pronounced hips, looping in his elegant black belt that held his black suit pants up. He was slightly tapping one rather expensive boot on the dirty city floor. “I-I’m so sorry, Fredrik..” You mumbled, curing yourself for stuttering. The overly tall man simply pushed up his crimson glasses with one white gloved hand, blinking in confusion.
“Worry not, (Y/n).” Fredrik cheered, his low voice made your chest vibrate slightly. Fredrik turned on his heal and let one of his long arms fall over your shoulders, capturing you like a spider in his web. With his other hand he took off his large black top hat, quickly wrapping the long crimson sash around his wrist as he shook his bleached white hair. This tall man, who was easily the tallest man in Ikebukuro now, and to you, the scariest, was your one and only Boss. Fredrik had singlehandedly created the ‘Flow’ modeling agency almost as soon as he had traveled to America, it was a mystery on where he had come from, or how he had created one of the biggest or most successful modeling agencies. Fredrik was a mysterious man, and perhaps it was because he never revealed himself he was so feared.
As Fredrik lead you into the elevator you only half listened to his accented jabber about the job you would be working tomorrow. You were more interested in what you should do on your break and how you would be able to hang out with Izaya and Shizuo. Only a few words caught your attention. “So you will be a cadged bird, desperate for freedom, We were going to do a doll treasured and obsessed over by a master, but I still can’t find the right paring for you.” Fredrik babbled on, talking flamboyantly with his hands. You simply nodded, absentmindedly twisting your hair between two fingers. “Wait, Mr. Fredrik, we only just got here, where will we be shooting?” This caught the foreign man’s attention. “Ah, the reason we chose this hotel is because we bought it recently! The twelfth floor is now the shooting floor you are assigned to. You will be sleeping on room six, room number twelve.” Your jaw almost dropped. ‘This man…. How did he buy this place so fast? Had he known I wanted to go back to Ikebukuro?’ You narrowed your (e/c) eyes at the strange man.
As the door opened Fredrik lightly pushed you out of the elevator, a large smile playing on his lips as he waved goodbye. As the doors started to close he called out to you. “I almost forgot! Be ready by six~” The doors closed swiftly, saving your boss from the death glare you were about to give him. “Six?” You snap, turning on your heals and turning to walk down the long halls, looking for your room. “I can’t believe he wants me ready that early.. UGH!” You groaned. Your complaints fell silent when you felt your phone vibrating. “Who would be calling at this time..?” You thought out loud as you clicked the accept button, answering the unknown caller. “Hello, this is [Last name] [First name], may I ask who is calling?” You answer the phone in a rather cute tone of voice, forcing a certain fake happiness into your voice. You waited for a few moments, listening to only silence before a man cleared his throat awkwardly. A smile spread across your face as you realized who it was before the awkward blond spoke.
“Hey (Y/n), It’s Shizuo.” The man said, the awkwardness in his voice causing you to giggle slightly before answering. “Hey Shizu, what’s up?” You asked, walking over to a slightly open door, a fancy golden ‘12’ was lightly popping out from the fancy brown door. “I just wanted to make sure you were okay, Ikebukuro can be a dangerous city these days.” You smiled to yourself as you lightly pushed the door open, kicking away the door stop that held the door open. “Awww, that’s very sweet Shizu~” You purred, teasing your old friend. You heard the frustrated intake of breath that came from Shizuo and you imagined his face. His brow furrowed in frustration and his cheek pink with embarrassment.
“God damn it (Y/n), Can’t you just be a normal person and thank me?!” Shizuo barked, his frustration and embarrassment obvious. “Can’t YOU be a normal person and relax?” You countered as you looked around your large suit. You giggled at the growl that came for Shizuo. “I’m fine Shizuo, I have a nice room that is huge, you should see it.” You said soft as you sat down on the king sized bed, kicking your feet as you glanced around the large room. “Yeah? That’s nice, I’m glad you have a nice place to stay.” Shizuo mumbled, calming down. “Yeah, oh, Thanks Shizu, for making sure I was safe, and for protecting me from that girl.” You chuckled as you flopped down on the fluffy bed. “She was just taking a picture, I just lost my temper..” Shizuo mumbled, you pictured him scratching the back of his head embarrassed. “Yeah, but I really shouldn’t get my picture taken all around the city. My boss really doesn’t like that.”
“Well I’m glad I could help out then.. Guess my issues can help sometimes.” Shizuo grumbled, his voice heavy with tiredness. “Mmmhmm~” You agreed. “Now go to sleep, you sound tired. I’ll see if I can hang out with you on my lunch break. I should go to sleep too.” You rambled, lightly chuckling at the soft grunt of agreement before Shizuo hung up. You sighed and quickly got ready for sleep, taking a shower and getting dressed before you flopped into bed. You quickly checked your phone before you fell asleep to see that you had one message.

Izaya Orihara: No Subject
‘Sweet dreams, my favorite human. I’ll see you tomorrow. Look forward to it~’

You smiled and shook your head, falling asleep with excitement for what wonders were waiting for you when you woke up.
