Starlight: CHRYSALIS! (Charges her horn)
Chrysalis: (uses her magic to levitate Twilight's cocoon in front of her) Hehehehehe. Go ahead. Destroy me, and kill Princess Twilight in the process.
Starlight: No...

Twilight opens her eyes and grins wickedly. Her irises are a luminescent, eerie green. Her teeth bare a set of long, plaque-ridden fangs that overlap her bottom jaw. She speaks with a hiss.
"You cling to your past while your future is taken from you. A lesson you ought have learned by now."
The cocoons above shake and shudder as the ponies inside twitch like insects to face the distraught mare on the cave floor. Their eyes, too, share an ominous verdant glow, and they speak in unison.
"See the shadows of hope around you and be reminded what was lost. You have failed to live down your sins and now you learn the cost."

The queen displays a smile of satisfaction. "Just what your absence has allowed me to do."

However, Twilight's cocoon shatters, and the alicorn lands on her hoofs. Her manic expression becomes one of calm fury as she faces Queen Chrysalis. Her eyes are now green and red, purple mist trailing from them.
Chrysalis: What?! How can this be?! I cast a spell on you powerful enough to break even the strongest will!
Twilight: (Darkly) Obviously, it wasn't strong enough.
Starlight: Twilight...?
Chrysalis is silent, and then she snarls in anger.
Chrysalis: Insolent little grub! I shouldn't have made you my slave. I should have destroyed you! Just like I should have done last time.
Twilight: So, you finally see me as an opponent.
Chrysalis: I see you as a thorn that has been in my side for TOO LONG! I'LL RIP YOU LIMB FROM LIMB! I'LL HAVE YOUR WINGS AS MY TROPHIES! YOUR AGONY WILL BE LEGENDARY!
Twilight: (Completely unfazed) I'm waiting.
Chrysalis is silent, then screeches in rage as she launches herself at Twilight. Twilight, however, charges in return, summoning a barrier that knocks Queen Chrysalis back. Meanwhile, Starlight uses this as an opportunity to free the others. However, their cocoons open, and they land on their hooves. They stare at Starlight with glowing green eyes, their brows furrowed. Pinkie Pie grins maniacally.
Starlight: Horseapples.
Meanwhile, Twilight was still fighting Chrysalis. Chrysalis noticed there was something different about Twilight. She was fighting much more ferociously.
