Write in pen than pencil
As to be honest about
My mistakes
I would rather
Stay home and drink tea
Than go out to a party
And get high on dancing
And other recreational activities…
I would rather
Laugh loudly
Than
Not at all
I would rather
Dress up than
Wear jeans
But I also
Prefer pajama pants
And boat-sized t-shirts
To jeans
I would rather have
A letter than
A text message,
But I settle
I would rather have
Strawberries dipped in chocolate
Every hour or so
Instead of three square meals
I would rather eat
Cereal all day
Than have too many
Dishes to clean
I would rather
Stay up all night
Dreaming than
Waking up and
Not remembering
Any of the dreams
Maybe all this means
I'm odd
Or even insane
But I'd rather
Be myself
Than someone else
