Description
why do we alwaystry to define
indefinable moments?
like this one:
on a train, knowing it'll be an
hour or so until
her final destination,
she uncaps her pen,
puts it in between
her teeth,
and looks at the world
outside,
then the page.
what to
fill it with...
like this one:
at her love's
front door,
waiting,
not knowing what
his expression will be
upon seeing her
puffs of breath color
the freezing air,
and she memorizes
the four dull gold
numbers by the door,
wondering how long she'll
remember them
like this one:
the car is warm
and filled with music.
she stays there and
eats her lunch,
just because she can
just to better hear
the pouring rain
just to be alone
i can list them,
describe them,
maybe even get the
essence,
but I cannot define how important
they are,
how they stand out against
all other things
no matter how hard
i try
