Description
Okay, I know it looks like toast. Just add less pastel if you want it to look more like regular bread (more for the crust, too).I noticed the lack of a polymer clay tutorial for slices of bread.
I hope people are helped by this!
Using some of these techniques I made these: [link] [link]

did you use the pastel dust before or after you baked the clay?

Bake it after you add the pastel.

Should we like, bake it when we're done? *serious question* Y'know, to make it hard?
This was so helpful! Thank you!

Is there an alternative for Pastels? If not, where can I get some and what are the prices/
š: 0 ā©: 1
MisttheWarrior In reply to Michaellena [2011-11-25 18:06:52 +0000 UTC]
Hm...I suppose you could use chalk, but I don't know if you have a brown or not.
Also, I've heard of some people using watercolor, but I'd be careful with that, as I don't know how that would bake.
Prices on pastels range...a lot. xD I can't really give you a price, but I can say that a cheap set will work just fine.

Hi! I know this isn't the right place but I need help with the clay. I can't use the oven to bake it and I need to dry it! How do I do it?!

MisttheWarrior In reply to xXForeverDawn42Xx [2011-09-06 02:28:41 +0000 UTC]
Are you using polymer clay or air dry clay? I can't help you with air dry clay, but you need to use the oven for polymer clay, because it will never ever dry on its own.

I'm not sure what you mean by this...?
I am using polymer clay in this tutorial, a clay that you bake in the oven. So yes. xD

xD Then you may want to use a toothpick and round pin head for the detail instead, so you can make larger holes in the bread.

just a question, doesnt the mascara brush leave black dots on it? or should i clean it out first so that theres no mascara on it?
š: 0 ā©: 2
Rae-Lynn In reply to its-ash-yo [2011-07-15 16:16:07 +0000 UTC]
Yes, if you're going to use a brush that's already got makeup on it, clean it first. And then NEVER use it for your eyes again. However, it might just be easier to buy some disposable mascara brushes. And Q-tips are a brand name of cotton swabs. They carry them at almost every drug store/grocery store/ convenience store. However, if you cannot find them, paint brushes work, too.
