Here’s the reason for this wallpaper: I don’t like the Squall x Rinoa pairing (well, in fact, I hate Rinoa… >_< ) and I don’t like the Irvine x Selphie pairing either… But Final Fantasy VIII is one of my fave games, I love it and I really like Squall (how can such a great character have such a bad taste? -_-U ). He’s my fave character along with Selphie (she’s gorgeous!), so, in my opinion, they’re the perfect couple n___nMit Hydeist

Nice pic, surprisingly enough Selphie and Squall were ment to be a pair but it was changed to Rinoa. Thank god for Amano's eairly final fantasy VIII artwork, it's very hard to backup the relationship between the two.

This may come off as a rant. But I think that they would be the worst couple. That's why they probably never got together anyways. I love Rinoa she is great. Selphie seems a bit stupid to me...(also her character in kindom hearts was rediculously easy to beat). Rinoa was the person who opened Squall up. While I grant it Rinoa isn't retarded like Selphie she's got some pretty good qualities. Rinoa is very couragious, and very warm hearted for the people she loves. She lead's the timber owl's. When the missles had to be redirected Selphie just banged down on the buttons. wtf. I just find Selphie very childish. lol remember mean guy??? o.o yeah. Even though I've got some crude words. I guess I should be getting to my point instead of shunning the nonbelievers. I'm trying to say she isn't a terrible character, because we all have flaws. BUT she is not Squalls type. Squall is a brooding depressed man, and someone who doesn't understand much herself wouldn't be able to understand him. That's one of the main reasons why I believe Rinoa is way better for Squall. Selphie's emotions aren't complex, they seem to be like my cats, or like a little kid. Happy, sad, angry or whatever. It's just not believable for them to be together. THUS why they were never together in the first place or anyother time.

Besides. You can tell how much Rinoa loves Squall. You can see it genuinely and lovingly in her character the connection, and the feelings shared.

Because everyone has to be so mean to one character while liking another. It's annoying, and childish. Rinoa is confident, I think that is a great factor in any women (the whole you will like me thing - confidence- she meant no harm). I don't hate Selphie, but rather think she is a little childish herself. I can't expect much from her fans can I?

Siiii, a mí también me hubiera encantado que terminaran juntos! *-* Por eso escribí un fanfic al que considero uno de mis mejores fanfics, jeje, además por el trabajo que me tomé al transcribir frases y diálogos del juego, y quedó perfecto (que modesta yo XD). Si la relación de Squall y Rinoa parecía ya en el juego medio tirada de los pelos, en mi fanfic eso se ve más claramente, jajaja (y sería algo hasta "cuasi-oficial") n____n Que feliz soy! XD

You have such rare taste in regards to this game, that said, I absolutely agree with every word of it, go you, you don't see enough of this pairing out there. Looks great too, almost forgot.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that hates Rinoa
To me, she's only usefull to do Invencible Moon and Angelo Search...I feel kinda sorry for Angelo to have such stupid owner.
Although I like Irvine and Selphie together, I hate Squall and Rinoa, and since my fav chars are also Selphie and Squall, I don't mind that pairing XD

My hatred for Rinhoa is astronomical.
Selphie on the other hand is amazing, and I always thought Squall would go so well with her. Selphie could do the whole "Change Squall into a better person" ordeal (though honestly, I kinda liked him better before) withought the whole finger in the face, wave back and forth "You will change, and you will like mee!" thing.

Believe it or not Rinoa is the strongest character in the whole game she's completely overpowered and I mean I liked her in FMV's but she didn't talk and she was pretty but she annoyed the S**T out of me in game
