Zipper Zapper.Dedicated to my loverly boyfriend!! It was inevitable that I'd draw Dipper at some point. My only regret is that I didn't do so sooner. He's rather fun to draw!

The expressions are nice, and the style is interesting.
Though I know these are unfinished, and merely sketches, they look a bit like unfinished sketches. Despite that, I do see what you are trying to portray with both his posture and expressions, including smaller details (like the book, or the hearts). Overall these are really nice to look at, aesthetically and they do portray their emotions.
In these, dipper's hair seems sparse in some positions, yet thing in others. The variation does cause an appeal, but keep in mind that it does lose a certain continuity that most cartoons seem to use in their favor.

Thank you very much for your comments! I'm glad that you like the sketches. Yes, there is some variation in the hair. For animation, character model sheets, and other departments in which the character must be kept as on-model as possible, then no variation should occur, true. However, for storyboarding, which is the field of art that I am aiming to break into, looser rules apply. As long as the character is readable, it should be fine. The same goes for quick sketches, in which the artist is simply having fun and doing whatever. So it kind of depends on the situation. I appreciate you pointing it out, though.
