Merida. Done in Photoshop CS3. A screenshot was referred to.This was a lot of fun to do. The eyes are crooked, as are many other things, but I kind of like that aspect of it.

Vision:
Looks relatively appealing, a quit nice piece of artwork. You have done an excellent job with the skin shading and expression of Merida. I like the eyes in particular, al though they are pointing at sligthly different angles. Originality:
I scored this only 3 stars as it is quite a common pose, and although it is very well done, it does not have something that would separate it from everything else. Don't be afraid to be play with colours, lighting and expressions!
Technique:
I scored this a 4 as the shading and way you did the piece of artwork was pretty good! The only thing that stopped me from scoring a five was the hair. Its a bit to short at the top, and although I am aware it is frizzy, and it does show you that it is, it looks a bit messy compared to the rest of the image, which is quite neatly done. Also it looks like the hair is lighter at the back and darker at the front, which does not usually occur unless there is a dye involved.
Impact:
If I was browsing DeviantArt and I saw this, I would click and comment on it. It is very well done and looks very appealing. You have done a very good job on this!
Overall:
Love it! You have drawn one of my favourite Disney character very well! It might not be perfect in all areas, but that doesn't mean its bad, because I love it! If there was a rating for Overall, it would be a 4/5 e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="

First of all, thank you so very much for the critique!! I don't receive enough of it, so when it does come in I really, really appreciate it!!
Secondly, I agree with all of the suggestions you gave. The hair and eyes could definitely be tweaked/played with a little more, and I do need to experiment with various hues, lighting, and expressions more. Working with light and color unnerves me, which is a hurdle that I must overcome.
