Are you frickin' kidding me? This is one of your best pieces! I usually give criticism when it's due, but I have no complaints for this piece whatsoever. I especially love the top left and bottom left pics (cos' they have more 'drama' and tension than your usual happy pics, although I do enjoy happy pics as well).

I think as an artist, you should put more pride in your work. When you present a piece, don't go all negative on it before you even receive feedback. Just tell us what inspired you to do it, how you created it, what expression/message you hope to convey to the audience, etc.

Of course, when you receive constructive critcism, you should accept it and look at your work objectively. But don't condemn you work before you even hear what people have to say about it!

I, for one, would love for you to do more of this Rex OC. Somehow, he comes off as having a greater emotive range than your fanart characters, although that's probably because he has the most number of expression pieces next to Frank and Megamind, in recent memory.

Ha-ha! You're so funny... and kind, too. These sketches could definitely use improvement (and my mom agrees with me on this), but thank you very much!

You do have a good point there. I tend to be really down on my work, but potential clients probably won't take an artist seriously if they're over-the-top critical about their art. Thanks for the tip. I'll... try to be more positive. Heh.

But of course. I crave constructive criticism, especially seeing as I don't get enough of it.

You'll definitely see more of Rex. As for your comment on his having a greater emotive range, you're probably right about that. I should practice with expressions more....

Thanks a lot for the kind and constructive words!

No problem, Mitch. Great point - when you show your work to a client or an audience, do not preemptively-criticise it. If it's really that bad, people will tell it to you. Do not discredit yourself before you've even given people the chance to evaluate it. Simply tell them why you did the piece, what it means to you, and let them form their own opinion. You can be humble without doing a disservice to yourself.

Anyway, thanks for accepting my criticisms. I, in turn, must thank you for replying to my comments, as you're one of the few who actually do that instead of one-word 'Thanks!' or being defensive about my critiques, so I really appreciate it.

Thanks. And, yes, overly criticizing one's own piece can end in negative results, so it's better to be safe than sorry and trust in one's own product.

You're most welcome. I can't say that I'm very good at replying to your (and many peoples') comments, though, as I do so in such a terribly late fashion. Ha. No problem at all, though.

Ha-ha. Well, thanks.

I dunno. I'm just... very critical of my work and know that it could use a lot of improvement.

well.... alot of people feel that way about their art....
and... alot of improvement?.... no.. just stay the same way you alway draw.... becuase when i did that... i became a better drawer too.... you just need to level up ur drawing skills slowly so you don't end up rushing anyting....

Very true. My style will stay the same, but the skill set will improve over time and with practice.

Thanks.
