Description Get ready, folks, because this is the first of many, many, many minion drawings. For some reason, I have recently become a little obsessed with these guys. Part of the reason why is because I loved Despicable Me 2. The other part is because I decided to try drawing them again and found out that they are an absolute joy to sketch. Seriously, one of my sketchbooks is now littered with minion drawings, so there is plenty more where this came from, and what I'll be uploading today is only the first batch of 'em.

This is the only minions drawing I'll upload to the main gallery for now. All of the others will be sent to the scraps pile, so keep an eye on my "Scraps" page for more minion stuff.

I love it! I love the composition, I think you did an awesome job! I love that you can still see the gesture movements underneath the finished product, to me that just makes it all the more better than if there weren't any, it shows that you actually took time and applied what you learned and what you know. I also loved that you captured their individual characteristics and personality, as well as the minion group as a whole! I love the minions, and again, I think you did an excellent job! I would love to see what it would look like in color, too!!

awww that is cute, i love these little guys, i've seen both movies, and i think the 2nd one is the best, but i really like both of them,they are so funny, and most of the time you don't understand what they are saying, but it don't matter, it's funniy the way they talk in their language, and their laff is so cool, and their atatuides are very cool, just say what they want too, and it they get mad at eachother, they let the other one's know. great job my,freind

your welcome my, friend, i'm glad you like the films, too. And, that is a big yes on the minions being adorable, my fave part in the first movie is when the minions are at the store look for a POY(toy)unicorn toy for Agnes, that was a funny part. and i'm glad you understand what they where saying, i surely couldn't(most of the time), i could read their body language, but i can only can think to what words they where actually saying when they got very upset, another part i liked in the first one was at the amusement park, that would have been a awesome rollerΒ coasters to ride, and what Grue did to the game stand was purely awesome to get Agnes that big unicorn toy, that was so sweet of him to do that for her

Their language is actually a blend of English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and just plain gibberish, although it's easy enough to understand what they're saying via body language, tones, and inflections.

Ah yes! I love the amusement park part!

Okay wow this is actually excellent.


Their shapes are fantastic and dynamic, their expressions are fabulous, I love that they all look different, and the whole thing looks clean but sketchy and full of movement at the same time and wow i'm rambling now.
