great question - i came across a picture of in a little book on medieval manuscripts which has an image taken from Cotton MS Tiberius AVII which shows the personification of necromancy as a winged hag. I didnt end up putting the wings on my figure at the time but added to the winged skulls to refer to this. She holds a book titled Mors Anime. The scales were my addition as i was merging thoughts in my mind at the time with egyptian Anubis, weighing the heart/judgement kind of stuff - also them being empty to signifiy some kind of false yearnings perhaps or awaiting that which must be paid by the magician that seals their fate also.
