Description This one I am going to keep. She's special. And the name just came to her. So what if it's a male name. It came to her and it stays.

We're studying Hamlet right now in english class, and I must say, nothing in that book is as cute as this lil girl! I wanna cuddle with her!!! Hamlet is a very good play though...

Indeed.
But Hamlet is one of my most favourite plays of Shakespeare.

I've read Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Julius Ceasar, Twelfth Night, and The Taming of the Shrew, besides, and Hamlet is certainly my fav. However, I should point out that I either read the others on my own or under a crummy teacher, so I didn't understand them as fully as I do this year with a teacher who studied in England at the Globe theatre and lives Shakespeare.

I've read all of them on my own. Most in English, although I also have Hamlet in Estonian. It's a darn good translation by our dear departed president Lennart Meri ()

Favourite film version of Hamlet so far - the one by Laurence Olivier (I just love Olivier, can't help it) and favourite stage show by Mati Unt (he's also departed, before he could make "Macbeth". He was planning and it would have been superb.)

I was about to say that this is the kitten I would keep if they were mine... and then read your comments. Excellent choice. And her name does suit her!

I'm going to end up in a total war over her, but I'm ready for battle. Besides, mum got to keep her favourite one last time - now I get to keep mine!

She's a very serious looking young lady. Is she worried about something or is she always that earnest. Give her a warm hug for me, please.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Mithgariel In reply to Lemmy-X [2009-05-12 11:08:37 +0000 UTC]

She's always like that. I think her character and her markings (don't ask, how my mind works) brought her the name Hamlet.
And she's the quietest. If you'd pick her up, she sits very still. And she has the softest longest fur, so very silky.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lemmy-X In reply to Mithgariel [2009-05-12 11:16:38 +0000 UTC]

She has a very cute teddy-bear-nose. Let's hope her fur stays as soft when she gets older.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Mithgariel In reply to Lemmy-X [2009-05-12 11:22:04 +0000 UTC]

It did with Stella, so I think it will keep the softness.

If it's like that when she turns three months, it'll stay the same for the rest of her life.

Let's hope, and also that I can keep her - provided we already have 2 cats.

Prolly you don't live with parents, either They object, I'd have a zoo

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Lemmy-X In reply to Mithgariel [2009-05-12 17:49:08 +0000 UTC]

I can hardly remember if I had parents at all. I took off when I was fourteen and saw my mother about ten times since. Your parents are not completely wrong. To me it also looks like you are building either a zoo or a small farm into your house.
Nothing wrong with it of course. I would love to have a private zoo too. (and I don't mean taking my idiot brothers to live with me. That would be a real monkey house)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Mithgariel In reply to Lemmy-X [2009-05-12 17:56:07 +0000 UTC]

Just that monkeys are so much more intelligent

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lemmy-X In reply to Mithgariel [2009-05-12 18:20:43 +0000 UTC]

You're absolutely right And monkeys are mostly sober in contrast to my brothers.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Mithgariel In reply to Lemmy-X [2009-05-12 18:55:25 +0000 UTC]

Yep. And you know why they keep sober? Cause they're already monkeys. They need no beverage for that I think they'd turn into humans when drunk and they avoid that at all costs.

Well to be or not to be... Hamlet XD
And this girl clearly is

Was it even Hamlet who actually said that?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Mithgariel In reply to GayKeyboardWarrior [2009-05-12 10:20:58 +0000 UTC]

Actually, he did. First part of the famous monologue of his, which he gives with Claudius and Polonius in hideout and Ophelia pretending to read nearby.

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GayKeyboardWarrior In reply to Mithgariel [2009-05-12 10:22:25 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I know the monologe, I just wasnt sure if it was Hamlet who said it.
