Description
This is my entry to the Technology and Nature Contest hosted by `kuschelirmel .Took me about 2 weeks of tinkering (mostly due to extremely busy work schedule...). The idea just built and built, layer upon layer. Well, I am pretty satisfied with the result. It might just be one of the most surreal and complicated works I've ever done.
I can still remember removing all human-built stuff from the nature background... Took me about 3-4 hours. *sigh* There are a lot of details in here, so I'll be posting closeups as well.
In time, technology will override nature, I'm afraid. I would dream of these two working hand in hand, but I stopped being such illusionist when I was 4, I think. Technology tends to rule out nature, destroy it. Urbanization is only one part of the bigger process.
I'd like to say one thing about this - folks, we have but one Earth. Think about that.

This piece is very good. Many ideas and much thinking went obviously into it and one can see that. It is not just another picture with nice structures and pleasant colours, every little detail has a meaning.
