This is Waylon! A very old and yet very experienced steelix that has seen his share of battles. When Waylon was an onix he was cast aside by a much bigger and stronger onix which bullied all the others. Waylon did what he could at the time to stop this from happening but it just wasn't enough. Being thrown down a side of a mountain piercing his eye on a sharp boulder and gaining many wounds along the way until falling into a river way down below. However... not all was lost when a fisherman heard the commotion and found the badly hurt onix lying in the water. Thinking fast the fisherman captured this onix and took him to the closest pokemon center as quickly as he could... Years pass and the Onix gained back his strength due to his new partner named Richard.. Richard the fisherman that is. Richard was a huge fan of the popular country singer at the time named Waylon Jennings and the name just stuck! "Waylon you shall be named". For years the two had many fishing trips and battles along the way but waylon was still very subconscious of him self.. always thinking hed never amount to anything.. With the thought of what happened to him weighing heavily on his mind, but Richard never gave up on him. Every night Waylon would get a rub down with a fine metal coat which strengthened his body eventually evolving him into the very first steelix in the region.. Many more years pass and Waylons partner Richard was about to say his last good byes... Years of smoking along with other health problems began to remove him from this earth.. Thus the old and worn out fisherman passed down his trusty partner to his Grandson and a new bond would soon develop but not without difficulty. It was tough at first taking orders from a kid who was only 15 years old at the time. But the more the two battled the more stronger the two became winning battles left and right making a name for them selves. Waylon the indestructible he was soon called by people from all around. Seeming to never flinch against anything he was weak against. People began to wonder..... How could this be? Perhaps... it was this special metal coat that was used many years ago? The trainer today is now 25 and still takes waylon everywhere he goes along with his shining vaporeon, Shining charizard, a haunter nicknamed the blackfog, Electivire, and a young Mimiku. All who look up to this giant of steel.. except for Charizard of course.. The two always seem to butt heads? Oh well perhaps one day they will test to see whos stronger.
