So! Quite a useless tutorial, right? Hahaha. I'll explain a little more on the description because I had to use paint to put all the pics togheter (it's though not to have PS or a better edition program).

Here it goes:

1. Gather reference: First of all, you need to know that there's more than one type of reference for those boxes, so it doesn't make mine right or wrong, just different from some others. For instance, I used the Bandai Limited Edition models to build mine, I DID NOT USE THE REFERENCE FROM THE ORIGINAL MANGA. I like the ones released by bandai, so I searched all over the internet for them. I actually don't know if the originals (from the first Saint Seiya manga) are exactly like these, but well. I need to thank as well this user on youtube: MythJohnny83 he's got these appendix videos on these boxes, so it was really helpful! The prints from the reference images I put here are from one of his videos.
So, after you've got all the reference you need, let's jump to the second step! Drawing some molds~~

2. Draw the basic forms for each side of the box: for the ones that have natural drawing skills, this might be a bit easier. But not so fast. You need to consider the size of the box, compared to your height, and you need to consider, as well, what you're using as reference. Since I was using miniatures, I couldn't keep the original proportion, or the details woult be too 'rough', I wanted them to be more 'slim' and delicate, so, I made the sketches really 'large', but when I was molding the clay, I made them 'thinner'. Always consider the proportions of what you're doing. As well as the sides of the boxes! From my reference, for example, we have five sides with details (the bottom doesn't have those, of course hahaha), but the sides have the same pattern (as you can see on the finished box). The front of the box has the main symbol of the Zodiac Sign, the sides are equal, the back has a different pattern and there's a sun on the top, surrounded by half moons (I deduced that from the little images I got, but some are circles, some have other reference for the top, you gotta find your own x3). For the ref, I'm 1,61cm tall, my box is 50cmx35cmx35cm.

3. Do the details with epoxi, clay, or any you prefer: THIS is the hardest part. You have the sketches, so, first of all, cover all of them with plastic or some transparent tape, stick them to a straight surface, so you can work on them easily, and the plastic is useful because when they all dry, you can pull them off without much trouble. I used COLD PORCELAIN (guess that's the term in english x3), it is a kind of clay used to make artisan crafts and stuff like that. This one kind of 'shrinks' when it is totally dry, but not that much so you can worry. Epoxi is really good to work with as well, but here is really expensive, so, I went for the porcelain, it's easy to work with, as well, but it demands a lot of patience and some manual skills. You can use some specific tools for this kind of job as well, they're small and made of plastic or iron, but they're cheap as well. Wait for all of them to dry before pulling them out of the mold.

4. Assemble the box with hinges (so all sides open): I particularly made my own box, with my father's help. But you can just ask some carpenter to do it for you. I used two hinges to each side, and some pressure spots to keep the sides closed (I'll show how they are if you need). It was a total of ten smal hinges. And remember, you need to have the holes on the back part, so you can put the straps on it! My father made them with a drill machine. Well, easier for a man to do the job, hahaha!

5. Use a really strong glue (I used the one specific for clay) to stick the details to the wood (my box is made of wood and it is heavy ;_; ): So, first things first... if you're planning on doing a WOODEN BOX, it will be heavy! Unless you find some REALLY light wood. I don't know the precise weight of mine, but I could walk easily with it because I've always practiced martial arts, so I have an average strenght. Be careful, if the box is too heavy, It can give you some back problems, and we don't want that! If you use any other material, that's great as well! And then you need to be careful with the glue you're going to use (so it won't mess with the material of the box or the clay. Some hot glues can melt the box if it is made of foam, for example hahah).
Going to the final step then. After all the details are totally dry (if they're not completely dry, they can react with the glue or the ink and you'll get a terrible result. Mine wasn't totally dry, so, the fish on the front turned green because of a strange reaction with the glue and the ink), you can attach them to the box. Make sure to paint the box with some base ink or white ink! ALWAYS paint first with white, so there won't be any differences in the final result.
I used golden metalic spray to paint mine, it is good and comes out beautiful if you paint with a certain distance (but I was in a hurry and only had two cans, so, it was a little messy hahahaah). You can use the ink you prefer in this part, but be sure it will give a metalic impression!

Tenho que agradecer particularmente a esse usuário do youtube: MythJohnny83, ele fez uns vídeos de appendix das caixas em miniatura, então foi realmente útil! Os prints nas imagens de referência são dos vídeos dele.
Então, depois que você pegar toda a referência que precisa, vamos para o segundo passo! Desenhando os moldes~~

2. Desenhe as formas básicas para cada lado da caixa: para aqueles que são bons em desenho, isso pode ser mais fácil. Mas não tão rápido! Você precisa considerar o tmanho da caixa, comparado à sua altura, e precisa também considerar o que está usando como referência. Já que eu estava usando as miniaturas, não podia usar a proporção original dos detalhes, ou eles ficariam muito grosseiros, eu queria que eles fossem mais finos e delicados, então eu fiz os esboços bem largos, mas quando estava moldando a massa, o resultado foi mais fino. Sempre considere as proporções do que está fazendo. Assim como os lados da caixa! Da minha referência, por exemplo, temos cinco lados com detalhes (já que a parte de baixo não conta, claro hahaha), mas as laterais têm os mesmos detalhes (como dá pra ver na caixa finalizada). A frente da caixa tem o símbolo principal do signo zodiacal, os lados são iguais, a parte de trás tem uma forma diferente e a de cima tem um sol com quatro luas minguantes (eu deduzi isso das imagens que consegui, mas algumas são círculos, outras tem referências diferentes do topo, enfim, tem que achar a sua xD). Só pra constar, eu tenho 1,61cm de altura, minha caixa tem 50cmx35cmx35cm.

3. Faça os detalhes com epoxi, massa de modelar, ou o que preferir: ESSA é a parte difícil. Você tem os moldes, então antes de tudo, cubra todos com plástico ou durex, cole-os numa superfície reta pra que possa trabalhar com facilidade sobre eles, e o durex é útil porque quando os detalhes secarem, vai ser fácil tirá-los do molde sem muito problema. Eu usei massa de biscuit para fazer os meus, aqui onde moro resina epoxi é cara e só vende em tubinhos pequenos que não dariam nem pra o símbolo de peixes. Ambos são fáceis de manusear sobre o molde, mas é necessário muita paciência e algumas habilidades manuais. Você também pode usar algumas ferramentas pequenas específicas pra quem trabalha com biscuit, algumas são de plástico, outras de ferro, mas são baratas e realmente ÚTEIS (as minhas são de plástico). Espere todos os detalhes secarem antes de arrancar dos moldes.

4. Monte a caixa com dobradiças (para que todos os lados abram): Eu particularmente fiz minha própria caixa, com a ajuda do meu pai. Mas você pode pedir a um carpinteiro para fazer. Eu usei duas dobradiças de cada lado, e alguns botões de pressão para que os lados ficassem fechados (posso mostrar como são, se precisarem). Foi um total de dez dobradiças. E lembre, você precisa ter os buracos na parte de trás da caixa para poder colocar as alças! Meu pai fez esses com uma furadeira.

5. Use uma cola bem forte (usei cola de biscuit) para colar os detalhes na madeira (minha caixa é feita de madeira e é pesada): Então, antes de tudo... se está planejando fazer uma caixa de madeira, vai ser pesada! A não ser que você ache uma madeira MUITO LEVE, e eu usei madeirite de 1,5cm de largura. Eu não sei exatamente o peso da minha, mas eu pude andar mais tranquila com ela porque sempre pratiquei artes marciais, então tenho uma força média até. Tenha cuidado, se a caixa for muito pesada, pode te dar algum problema de coluna e não queremos isso! Se você usar qualquer outro material, ótimo também, mas tenha certeza de que a cola não vai afetá-lo (como cola quente derretendo isopor ou cola de sapateiro ou cola superbond).
Indo para o passo final. Depois que todos os detalhes em biscuit estiverem secos (se não estiverem totalmente secos, a massa pode reagir com a tinta ou a cola e você vai ter um resultado péssimo. O meu não estava totalmente seco e o peixe na frente reagiu com a tinta e a cola, ficando verde, muito tosco), você pode colá-los na caixa. Certifique-se de pintar antes a caixa com alguma tinta base para madeira ou tinta branca! SEMPRE pinte primeiro de branco, assim a cor final vai ser totalmente uniforme. Eu usei spray metálico dourado para a minha, é bom e sai bonito, mas um pouco caro, e você tem que pintar a uma certa distância para que a tinta não escorra (eu estava apressada, e só tinha duas latas, então o resultado ficou um pouco bagunçado hdausidhasid). Pode usar a tinta que preferir nessa parte, mas tenha certeza de que vai deixar uma impressão metálica!
