I finally finished my Part 3 Jojo OC after sooooo long. Many of my friends have been pressuring me to finally complete his bio, and now here I am. Feel free to critique him, draw him, and discuss our OCs together (I’d love to hear about yours). Just ask first.

Name: Jacques P Simon

Japanese: ジャック・P・サイモン

Romaji: Jakku P Saimon

Namesake: First name is based on Jacques Dutronc, a French psychedelic rock singer from the 1960s and 70s.
Surname and Middle initials are based on Paul Simon, one of the members from the 1960s folk music duo Simon and Garfunkel

Nickname: Simon (Called this by exclusively everyone, similar to how most of the main characters are often called by just their surnames)

Nationality: French, with a mix of English. His mother is of French descent whilst his father is a native from England. However, he’s adapted more of a strong European accent as he grew up in France.

Sexual orientation: Openly Bisexual. Acts like this around most people. He often flirts with women, even having a girlfriend in the past. Although, he also does show some kind of attentiveness toward other men.

Fighting style: Almost always uses his Stand, and will only resort to using his physical fists if he gets really upset.

Stand user? Hamon user?: A long-time Stand user, who’s had his ability since he was very young.

Affiliation (good or evil?): He’s Of good alignment, being close friends with one of the heroes and eventually joining the Stardust Crusaders.

Status (at the beginning): An enemy stand user sent by DIO to assassinate the Joestar travel group. He participates in a battle with the group (taking place within his own arc), almost getting defeated by Jotaro. However, Polnareff recognises him and persuades his allies to free the fellow man from DIOs control.

Status (at the end): A dedicated and motivational member of the Stardust Crusaders. He is one of the few who survive the many tragic events at the end of the part. Despite this, he does end up severely injured. He still remains close friends with Polnareff after all their hardships.

Hair style: Long and messy. It lays in an unkempt fringe at the front, tied up in a lengthy flowing ponytail at the back.

Skin tone: Very bright and lively complexion with a slight pink tinge.

Clothing: Simon wears a unique white and navy striped singlet, with one sleeve strap on one shoulder and two on the other. He accompanies this with a deep blue (almost black) turtleneck jacket draped over the top. The jacket has a clasp at the turtle neck, but the jacket is undone from the collar down. It also has baggy sleeves which are rolled up at Simons elbows. On his legs, Simon sports a pair of simple grey pants with pronounced stitching on the sides. On his feet, the man wears a pair of back boots, looking fairly similar to the ones worn by Polnareff.
(In the OVAs his clothing is the same, but the colours are more of a raven black rather than a navy-blue)

Other outfits / other appearance information:
Like many of the crusaders, Simon wears a long headscarf whilst travelling the desert. He has it wrapped around his neck and as a protective hood over his head.
While asleep, Simon switches off his trousers and usually wears a pair of bright floral print pyjama pants instead. These pants are cream in colour with pale flower silhouettes scattered on the cotton surface.
At the end of Stardust Crusaders, Simon is missing his right arm from the elbow down. This injury is wrapped up in a thick layer of bandages. He is shown with a prosthetic during his brief appearance in Golden Wind.

Jewellery/accessories: A pair of flower shaped earrings. They each take the shape of a baby blue flower with six long petals.

Build: Reasonably well-built and burly, as expected from a typical Jojo character. Has quite a bit of muscle mass around his shoulders, arms and chest areas, but fairly slim legs. Simon is also tall in stature, being one of the more towering members of the crusaders.

Reoccurring design theme: Flowers and various shades of the colour blue

Scars/spots/blemishes: A few scattered freckles upon the skin of his cheeks. They’re not very noticeable, and only visible from up close.
He also has a small scar on his right shoulder. This was from attempting the climb a tree as a child and falling due to a snapped branch. He fell and broke the skin on a sharp twig.

Personality-

General personality: Simon has a fairly straightforward, but overall pleasant personality. He is a joy to be around, trying his best to smile whenever he can, toward whoever he can. He is a voice of motivation and encouragement among his allies, but will need his own in order to get things done by himself. Simon is very honest and gentle with the ones he holds dearest to his heart, but can become rather protective at times. In addition, he can also become greatly possessive over said people as well. In a way, the man has slight trust issues, yet he attempts to not let those thoughts get the best of him. Simon can act very introverted and quiet when around people he doesn’t know all too well. However, the man will gradually open up over time, and will then be able to talk to his new friends for hours. If Simon feels very close to them he’ll even play around and crack cold jokes. In spite of all this, beneath Simons fun and encouraging exterior is a dim and troubled soul. As mentioned earlier, Simon has trust issues and will often attach himself to the people he loves. This leads to him commonly dragging his allies into battles against their will, asking too many questions, panicking loudly, and staying close to his companions at all times. Because of this, Simon tends to want to participate in battle with a trusted comrade by his side and rarely alone. Despite all of this, Simon normally shows his uplifting side around most people. He only feels comfortable showing his emotionally broken side to Polnareff and no one else.

Likes: Simon loves to have a nice long chat with the people he considers his closest comrades. When doing so, the man will often crack jokes (normally being cold and slightly insulting) and share a hearty laugh with them. Simon loves to express his dark taste in humour when cracking jokes, typically coming across as insulting, but he never really means them. He enjoys having human contact, and will always try his best to always be next to or have an ally by his side. His relatively positive relationship with Polnareff makes this outcome fairly possible. However, when Polnareff is not around he enjoys sticking to either Joseph or Kakyoin. He likes surprising his companions and hugging them from behind. He enjoys seeing their smiles no matter what, as it lifts his spirits and reminds him of happy times. Simon also likes questioning if things are true and never seems to entirely trust anyone. He doesn’t let this bother him however, as he enjoys making others happy. If he isn’t sure on something after the first few questions, he’ll shrug it off and continue to make others feel positive (as he sees that as more important). He loves to encourage his allies constantly, give them compliments and brighten up their often tough days. If anything, he gets an intense joy out of being the little light on the groups shoulders.

Dislikes: Simon dislikes dirty liars and people with immoral views more than anything in the world. He despises villains who abuse the weak for their own gain with a burning passion. Especially ones who use his own allies, or any sort of female. This will often send Simon in berserk mode, and make the man rather emotional. This is because of them bringing back awful and traumatic memories. Simon also highly dislikes silence and a lack of attention, as it makes him feel awkward as well as other negative emotions. If anything, the Frenchman feels as if he needs to have noise by him at all times. However, he does have a limit and is able to find loud noises bothersome. Simon dislikes being corrected and pulled up on things. He hates being called wrong or told he’s making a mistake. This normally makes him pause and throw an aggressive insult back. The insult of which, being a rougher version of one of his expected dark jokes. In addition, he highly dislikes feeling a sense of distrust. This is the bulk of why Simon often questions things. The only person he barely questions is Polnareff. He normally doesn’t care if the fellow Frenchman does anything remotely suss. But, when his friend wanders off or is nowhere to be found, Simon can become emotional yet again.

Strengths / skills: Like most Jojo characters, Simon has a wide array of physical strengths. He is a very fast runner and has immense arm strength. He uses these skills to his advantage in battle, but also uses it when he surprises his companions with hugs. Simon is always up for a chat, and can seem rather sociable, which comes in handy when attempting to get information out of any sort of enemies. Simon is mostly a voice of reason, and has the ability to bring his allies down to earth when needed. He is highly skilled at motivating others and encouraging them to push onward in tough times. However, he is unable to do any of that for himself, and will need others to assist him when he’s stuck in similar situations. When being given motivation, Simon is willing to fight in the name of anyone he holds dear. He doesn’t care if he has no idea how they’re going to get out of the battle, as long as he can fight for what’s right. Especially his friends.

Weaknesses / flaws: As mentioned many times before, Simon is a very emotional type of man. His negative emotions (which he often tries to mask) tend to get in the way of his daily life. Because of this, he often holds them in, resulting in his allies not knowing how he truly feels. This is almost entirely due to him not desiring to make anyone upset nor concerned. But, if he keeps them in too long they will often blow up if a horrible situation happens to trigger them. This always lead to Simon panicking immensely. Simon also isn’t the smartest person in the world, and will often speak his mind without thinking first. This leads to him making jokes he later regrets, saying insults, and so on. He may not be as dimwitted as say Polnareff or Joseph, but he still isn’t the brightest of the bunch. Simon is very gentle and sweet, but that can have its downsides. On more than one occasion, Simon has annoyed someone greatly by seeming as if he “babies” them. This may come in handy with young children and toddlers, but not with his older male comrades.

Hobbies: In his spare time, Simon likes to read books on gardening and medieval culture. His favourite gardening books are on planting and growing both vegetables and herbs. While his favourite medieval books are ones on the building of structures and sports such as jousting. Another hobby of his is spending time with his allies. His absolute favourite comrade to spend time with is Polnareff. This is all due to knowing the fellow Frenchman for the longest time. He enjoys reminiscing fondly with Polnareff, and discussing their current friends and families. Every once and awhile the two men will also discuss topics such as girls, flirting and dating. This is because they’re both just as desperate as each other. Other allies Simon enjoys the company of are Joseph and Kakyoin. Those are the two he feels as if he can hold an interesting conversation with, and of course trust deeply.

Fears: Simon has an immense fear of losing the ones he loves. Particularly close friends and lovers. The root of this is due to bad experiences related to said people from his past. Nothing upsets Simon more than thinking that a close comrade of his is going to be severely harmed or even mercilessly killed. This is particularly prominent toward any of the crusaders. Especially Polnareff, and even Kakyoin. Due to this, Simon is overly protective and a tad possessive over the few allies he’s the closest with. He always wants to fight for them, and make sure they’re alright at all times. His jokes and lighthearted soul often solve these problems. Simon also fears the silence and rejection. Both are also connected to his past.

Goals: Like pretty much all of the crusaders, Simon yearns to see DIO defeated with a burning passion. He wants to kill the vampire in order to avenge his girlfriend. The girl of which was foolishly persuaded onto DIOs side and then later murdered at his hand by having her blood sucked. He also wants to redeem himself for going onto DIOs side as well. He hates the fact that he thought of DIO as a friend, even with previously having healthy friendships. Simon wants to be in a better mental state and stick with the true friends of his, more than anything.

Speech: Very laid back and lazy, often using slang words. Simon likes to say words such as “Dude”, “Pal” and “Dunno.” Much like Polnareff, he also uses the occasional French words and phrases. As well as cursing in his native dialect. However, Simon doesn’t do it nearly as much.

Running gags: A majority of Simons jokes toward Polnareff are pitted at his hardships regarding getting attacked in bathrooms. The other majority are related to his best friends intelligence. In spite of this, the two tend to share a laugh afterward. There’s also a reoccurring theme of Simon failing to get girls but Polnareff coming out on top with the ladies (even if only just barely). Simon also frequently argues with Kakyoin, the man becoming the bulk of the teens annoyance. Yet, he still feels a softness toward the boy.

Family / past relationships: Emile Aloise (mother, alive), Victor Simon (Father, alive), Katie Bush (Girlfriend, deceased at the hands of DIO)

Best Friends: Jean-Pierre Polnareff (Childhood friend, best buddy), Joseph Joestar (close ally), Noriaki Kakyoin (close ally, relationship is one sided)

Neutral / allies: Jotaro Kujo (ally), Muhammed Avdol (ally, but briefly didn’t like Simon), Iggy (ally), Holly Joestar-Kujo (only heard of her, ally), Sherry Polnareff (Met her briefly, friend), Anne (Ally)

Enemies: DIO (Strong enemy), and Pretty much all enemies and assassins that serve DIO (Enemies and nuisances)

Crush/love interest: None. He did have a girlfriend named Katie in the past. He Does try to flirt with women frequently in the present, but always fails miserably at wooing them.
Despite this, some people (typically enemies) have mistaken his intimate, childhood friendship with Polnareff as a crush. Simon always disregards this, usually becoming flustered, embarrassed or even mildly angered at such a thought.

Katie- The two were a very close couple, who were almost inseparable. Despite their language and culture barriers, they were always together. The pair met and talked at a local cafe every day until Simon eventually confessed his undying admiration for her. Simon loved her deeply, frequently buying her presents and giving her big hugs. The couple remained together until Katie left on a trip to Egypt. Simon shrugged this off as she always went on trips. Simon didn’t hear from her for a while and became extremely anxious. He was later informed of her mysterious death and swore an oath to avenge her. He later got swooned onto DIOs side attempting to find the vampire who killed her. Following a traumatic series of events, he later found out who it in fact was. Simon still frequently thinks about and mentions Katie to this very day.

Crusaders:

Polnareff- Perhaps the character Simon is the closest with. The two originally met when Simon was only seven years old (Polnareff being six at the time). The boys fathers were friends via their careers. Simon’s father heard about the death of the other boys mother and insisted they visit, and that he cheer him up. The two children instantly became friends. Simon and Polnareff have been getting along ever since. Polnareff happened to recognise the fellow Frenchman when initially fighting against him so many years later. He’s the main reason behind why Simon joined the crusaders. In fact, Polnareff is the crusader that Simon gets along with the most, and they’re always together because of it. They’re incredibly close and intimate, with Simon being the only one whom can calm Polnareff down. Polnareff is also the only member of the group Simon feels as if he can fully trust. The two fight a majority of their battles side by side. At the end of the part they mourn their fallen comrades together, before both leaving for their native home of France.
Long after the events of part 3, they remain close friends. However, Simon doesn’t assist Polnareff on his journey to find the stand arrows. He does become aware of his best friends injuries after fighting Diavolo, as well as his changed mental state. The pair only speak to each other via many phone calls during the events if part 5. Simon does fear for his allies life when he goes to Italy. It’s unknown if Simon finds out about Polnareff’s death. Though, he probably wouldn’t have dealt with it well.

Joseph- The second crusader Simon got along with the most. Simon uses Joseph as the bulk of his jokes, often playing and messing around with the groups elderly leader. The two also run errands and set up anything for the travel group together. Simon listens to and follows all orders given by Joseph, even if they’re not the smartest of ideas. He just feels as if he needs to. However, Simon does experience slight anxiety whenever he gets in a vehicle with the old man, but he almost always tries to mask it with more dark jokes and comments. The two often laugh them off as nothing. Simon likes to think of Joseph as a close father figure, and one who makes him feel loved and cared for.

Jotaro- Even though the two barely interact, Simon doesn’t mind his younger allies company. He thinks the delinquents stand power is incredible, and often compliments it after battles. He knows all too well that he would never be able to beat Star Platinum, and sometimes feels jealous of it. The two even fight side by side on a few rare occasions, Simon showing his huge respect for the young man. Several times, Simon will openly joke around about Jotaro’s constantly rebellious behaviour. Simon tends to make comments about how the teen never seems to in a good mood, or how he needs to brighten up a bit. Despite all that, Simon believes that Jotaro means well. He feels a good sense of comradeship between them.

Avdol- The two got off to a very rocky start when Simon first met the older Egyptian. Avdol thought there was something “up” with Simon and felt as if he wasn’t truly a trusted ally. This was mainly due to Avdol being one of the first who fought Simon, and noticed how close the man was with Polnareff. He saw a bit of suspicion in their very intimate friendship. Avdol’s rocky relationship with Simon became stronger during his own falling out with Polnareff. This was because Simon agreed with Polnareff’s brief hatred toward Avdol. Although, after Avdol was shot by Hol Horse, Simon mourned him and filled with regret (though, not nearly as much as Polnareff due to soon finding out the truth). He soon developed a huge sense of gratitude toward the Egyptian when he saved Polnareff’s life after he reunited with the group. They remained allies up until Avdol was killed. Simon didn’t show much grief, but attempted with all his heart to reassure Polnareff through the mans death, shedding many tears.

Kakyoin- Even though their relationship is mostly cold-hearted on Kakyoin’s part, the pair were rather close. When first meeting Kakyoin, Simon saw him as a stuck-up and know-it-all student type with annoying qualities. He didn’t really like the teen at all on the first glance. Although, over time the man developed a kind friendship with the teenager. Even though Kakyoin is mostly unaware, Simon feels a strong need to protect the young boy. Especially after some certain events during the journey. He feels quite frightened for him and his safety. Despite this, Kakyoin normally calls Simon up on his (and also Polnareff’s) behaviour frequently. The two usually have verbal insult battles with each other because of this. Yet, no matter what, Simon still wants to protect Kakyoin and attempt to be social with him. At the end of the part, he mourns his close allies demise.

closeness/friendship level: 8

Iggy- Much like most of the crusaders, Simon sees Iggy as a simple mutt and nothing more. He was very shocked when finding out that such a foolish acting dog was going to help the group. However, Simon laughed through each and one of Iggy’s moves on Polnareff, despite the dog passing gas on and abusing his best friend. He sees Iggy as a sense of amusement, finding his relationship with Polnareff to be abundantly hilarious. Although, he is able to find the dog annoying, much like a majority of his allies. Over the length of the journey he learns to respect the mutt more. This is mainly due to Polnareff’s change of view on the dog and nothing more. He also mourns Iggy with Polnareff after the fight with Vanilla Ice.

Enemies:

DIO- Akin to every member of the crusaders, Simon hates DIO more than anything in the whole world. He seeks to kill DIO as an act of revenge and redemption. He wants to avenge the death and moral change of his once trusted girlfriend, Katie. In spite of all of this, Simon ended up joining DIOs side out of an act of loneliness and burning desperation for answers. He later found out that his lord was the one who killed Katie. The fact that the vampire fed on her sent Simon over the edge. But due to the flesh bud DIO placed in his brain, he ended up fighting the crusaders. Once free of his lords grasp, Simon wants nothing more than to see the malicious vampire killed. His hatred for DIO becomes stronger as the part goes on. After hearing about and witnessing the deaths, misfortunes and regrets of many innocent people at the hands of him. These bring a sense of trauma to Simon, and also make him incredibly angered. Simon also wants to kill DIO as an act of redemption. This is because of him finding (and rediscovering) the true friends in his life and realising that what he had with DIO was entirely forged.

Others:

Holly- Simon has only heard about the loving mother and never actually met her. He heard everything from both Joseph and Jotaro. The fact that such a gentle and sweet woman was being harmed made the man despise DIO even more. In addition, the abuse of an innocent woman at the hands of DIO reminded him of his past girlfriend. Simon mentioned on a few instances that he would love to meet her, and that she sounds utterly lovely.

Sherry- Despite his closeness with Polnareff, Simon had only met his sister on a few very brief instances. The two children got along well, and Simon has a great respect for her. Polnareff and him had sadly lost contact when Sherry was murdered, so Simon was widely unaware for the longest time. Polnareff never informed his friend until accidentally during his breakdown in India. This wholeheartedly shocked Simon. Understandably, Simon was joyous when her double right-handed murderer was brought to justice by Polnareff.

Anne (runaway girl)- Despite his gentle and protective soul, Simon saw Anne as a complete nuisance. He viewed the young girl as someone who kept getting in the way. He was one of the first members of the group who suggested that they send her home. He even fought tooth and nail to get Anne on her plane home. Due to this, Anne didn’t like him back at all. Simon did find her love for Jotaro slightly humorous, and did make a few comments on it. Such as Jokingly calling her his “girlfriend,” much to Jotaro’s aggression.

Stand information-

Stand name: Scarborough

Namesake: The 1960s folk song “Scarborough Fair” by Simon and Garfunkel

Attack type: Close-range

Stand Type: Natural-Humanoid

Appearance features: Scarborough appears as a thin humanoid creature with one massive drill for a right arm. It’s pale in colouration with flowers scattered across its body.

Abilities:
Drill arm: Scarborough has Many Close range attacks using its large drill shaped arm. It spins incredibly fast and has a sharpened point. The attacks are abundantly rough, usually drilling enemies into the ground and severely injuring them.
Kicks: It never uses its regular, free arm to attack. The stand instead, tends to kick as a secondary attack. These kicks are very hard and very fast. Scarborough usually switches between using one leg or both depending on its users mood.

Special attacks:
- Uses drill to cave an opponent into the ground
- Uses sharp point on the drill to violently puncture opponents skin
- Kicks opponent multiple times in many areas until they fall over
- Swings drill at opponents as if they were punches, beating them down

Strengths: Scarborough has exquisite speed, almost being as fast as Silver Chariot. It can move it’s drill shaped arm at great speeds and can kick 50% quicker than the usual human. It’s precision and strength are the same as the usual human, but a fairly strong one at that. It can also endure a lot of pain before reseeding back into its users body.

Weaknesses: Scarborough is a close-range stand and therefore can only hit an enemy if they’re up close. Due to this, the stand doesn’t work very well in certain situations and against certain other stands. Scarborough also lacks in development potential, as the user has had it for a long while with the stand having little-to-no changes over the course of time.

Stand cry: DORIRU DORIRU DORIRU!!

Description: Scarborough takes the form of an ambiguous humanoid, with a thin frame and slender legs. The stand is white all over with clear skin like a china-doll. The being is bald and has a pair of golden eyes (much like Hierophant Greens eyes), but an absence of a mouth. It’s right arm is a giant drill with a long sharpened tip, whilst it’s left is a regular hand with pointed fingertips. Scarborough’s body is covered a many flowers. Anything from roses, to sunflowers, to bright leaves, to sprigs of lavender. These flowers act as armor, covering the beings groin, upper chest, forehead / scalp, thighs and forearms.

Character backstory:

Childhood-
Simon was born into the lives of a French woman and a British man on a humid Septembers morning in 1964. Simon had a relatively normal upbringing. He lived in a small neighbourhood in France with the both of his parents. His mother was a stay-at-home mum, whilst his father worked at a small produce store.
He frequently stayed inside and read books on his own. The boy didn’t have many friends, but he honestly did not care. He found reading books about gardening and medieval culture to be a lot more enjoyable.
The young boy developed his stand at the age of five and saw the being as no more than an imaginary friend. As that’s what his parents viewed it as, and therefore so did Simon. He progressively began to get out of the house more once he’d developed Scarborough. Simon would use its (rather blunt at the time) drill to dig small holes in the dirt in his homes yard. He would also use its kicking ability to throw rocks into the river outside his school. He never questioned why no one could see his stand. This was entirely due to him believing that Scarborough was a figment of his imagination.
One day, while digging a hole outside, his father approached him. He informed Simon about a man he met at work. He told his son that the mans wife had recently passed away, and that the man had a son around the same age as Simon. He went on to say that the mans son was extremely upset and that perhaps a new friend to play with would cheer him up. Simon complied, eager for a companion. The little boy happily followed his father to the mans home later that very same afternoon.
When Simon had made it to the mans tiny house, he spotted an unenergised looking young boy fiddling with a toy sword in the backyard. The boy had tall silver hair and was a bit younger than Simon. As soon as Simon met with the fellow child, he ran up to him and began talking. He wanted to try with all his might to cheer up such a forlorn looking potential playmate. Within ten minutes of chatting, the two boys quickly hit it off.
Simon found out the other young boys name was Jean-Pierre Polnareff, and that he really enjoyed Simons company. After that, the pair began to come over to each others houses and play together every day. Whether it be in the morning, during the day or after school. They soon began to bond more when they both discovered that they each had stands. Simon was oddly surprised, but mostly joyous at that realisation. The two would engage in fake stand duels together, and use their own unique abilities when playing around outside.
The duos friendship lasted many, many years until their adolescence and even teenage years. The two still continued to see each other every single day. However, in their later years It was more to read, play sports, talk about girls and ‘attempt’ at doing homework. Through this Simon met the boys younger sister, Sherry and began to bond with her too. Although, not as much as her older brother.

Teenager years-
Simons life changed completely when he met the love of his life. A young woman named Katie. The two met at a local cafe when Simon was a late teenager. Katie was a tourist from America who was travelling around France at the time. The girl had an ambition to travel the world, and instantly bonded with Simon.
The two began meeting up that the very same cafe every afternoon, and soon enough Simon developed strong feelings for the girl. Simons long-time friend Jean-Pierre was not aware of their relationship, as he didn’t want to tell him. He mainly thought the fellow teenager would make fun of him if he did.
However, Simon eventually confessed to Katie and the pair shortly began dating. Simon bought Katie beautiful necklaces and treated her like an utter princess. Three years into their relationship, Katie told Simon that she was going on a trip to Egypt. Several months later Simon received a call from a relative of hers saying that she hadn’t been heard from for two weeks.
Simon became really anxious and desperately wanted to tell his best friend. But the fellow teens father had recently died, this resulted in Jean leaving the small French town with his sister and moving to another. Simon never caught the name of the town and was now alone. He felt entirely abandoned. Completely lost without anyone.

Adulthood / present-
A few years later, Simon received another call. This one was from a police investigator from Egypt, who’d been looking into a strange case. He said that he had recently found many dead girls around Cairo with mysterious holes in their necks, stripped of blood. He went on to say that Katie might have been a victim to ‘that killer’ and that she’d mostly likely been murdered. Those words broke, but motivated Simon. He decided that he was going to go to Egypt immediately and find that killer.
He quickly packed his luggage and proceeded to plan an important trip to Egypt. He hopped a plane and flew to Cairo as soon as he had saved enough money. Simon then spent the nights roaming the streets, searching up and down for any clues related to a bizarre murderer. He even went as far as asking hotel managers and store clerks, to track Katie’s steps. He even started a path travelling to all the places she’d been to before she had been killed.
Then, one night Simon met DIO. He encountered him at the end of an alleyway near one of Katie’s locations. The vampire told him that he could help Simon in his journey to find a murderer in Cairo. At first, Simon was abundantly frightened, but the mention of a friend to assist him somehow brought him over. Before Simon had the chance to properly rethink his decisions, a flesh-bud was already flying at him. Before he had the chance to attack, he was knocked unconscious.
Simon soon became one of DIOs loyal followers, starting his brand new journey. A journey to work with his lord and others to destroy the Joestar bloodline. He listened to the vampires every word and followed every order. However, one dark night, Simon broke an order.
The Frenchman creeped into one of his lords upstairs rooms without permission. There, he found a disturbingly shocking sight. Simon found the dead body of Katie, naked, slightly decayed and drained of all blood. He recognised her body, because she was still wearing a necklace Simon had given her a few years prior. Simon paused, feeling deeply sickened. Then, he completely broke down, and began having a mental feud with himself over DIO. But, no matter how hard he told himself to quickly escape the mansion, or kill DIO and or free himself from the vampires trust...he could not. DIOs control was just too strong for such a lonely man to counteract.
Before too long, DIO instructed Simon to go to Singapore and kill a certain group of Stand users. All his lord explained was that they were out to kill him. Simon, being the type to fight for anyone he ‘trusts’ automatically went out on his mission.
He found his way to the groups current form of transport. They however, soon knew he wasn’t normal and proceeded to fight him. While fighting the group on their final boat to their next location, he was quickly defeated. Simon was almost about to be pummelled by Jotaro when a voice suddenly spoke up. Polnareff lurched forward and said that he recognised the enemy stand user. Polnareff proceeded to explain who the man was, seeming rather struck. This caused Jotaro to briskly remove Simons flesh-bud. Simon soon opened his eyes to see his old friend Jean-Pierre Polnareff before him. Simon nearly burst into tears and showed a new side to the group. A side that showed the group that Simon was no longer a threat to them.
Afterward, Simon explained his reason for joining DIO and how much he wants to assist the group in their Egypt trek. The group all agreed on him travelling with them. He became part of the crusaders and followed them on their 50 journey to defeat DIO. Participating In many stand battles, hardships, and the defeats of DIO and his minions.

Namesake: First name is based on Jacques Dutronc, a French psychedelic rock singer from the 1960s and 70s.
Surname and Middle initials are based on Paul Simon, one of the members from the 1960s folk music duo Simon and Garfunkel

Nickname: Simon (Called this by exclusively everyone, similar to how most of the main characters are often called by just their surnames)

Affiliation (good or evil?): He’s Of good alignment, being close friends with one of the heroes and eventually joining the Stardust Crusaders.

Status (at the beginning): An enemy stand user sent by DIO to assassinate the Joestar travel group. He participates in a battle with the group (taking place within his own arc), almost getting defeated by Jotaro. However, Polnareff recognises him and persuades his allies to free the fellow man from DIOs control.

Status (at the end): A dedicated and motivational member of the Stardust Crusaders. He is one of the few who survive the many tragic events at the end of the part. Despite this, he does end up severely injured. He still remains close friends with Polnareff after all their hardships.

Skin tone: Very bright and lively complexion with a slight pink tinge.

Clothing: Simon wears a unique white and navy striped singlet, with one sleeve strap on one shoulder and two on the other. He accompanies this with a deep blue (almost black) turtleneck jacket draped over the top. The jacket has a clasp at the turtle neck, but the jacket is undone from the collar down. It also has baggy sleeves which are rolled up at Simons elbows. On his legs, Simon sports a pair of simple grey pants with pronounced stitching on the sides. On his feet, the man wears a pair of back boots, looking fairly similar to the ones worn by Polnareff.
(In the OVAs his clothing is the same, but the colours are more of a raven black rather than a navy-blue)

Like many of the crusaders, Simon wears a long headscarf whilst travelling the desert. He has it wrapped around his neck and as a protective hood over his head.
While asleep, Simon switches off his trousers and usually wears a pair of bright floral print pyjama pants instead. These pants are cream in colour with pale flower silhouettes scattered on the cotton surface.
At the end of Stardust Crusaders, Simon is missing his right arm from the elbow down. This injury is wrapped up in a thick layer of bandages. He is shown with a prosthetic during his brief appearance in Golden Wind.

Jewellery/accessories: A pair of flower shaped earrings. They each take the shape of a baby blue flower with six long petals.

Height: 186cm

Weight: 77kg

Build: Reasonably well-built and burly, as expected from a typical Jojo character. Has quite a bit of muscle mass around his shoulders, arms and chest areas, but fairly slim legs. Simon is also tall in stature, being one of the more towering members of the crusaders.

Reoccurring design theme: Flowers and various shades of the colour blue

Scars/spots/blemishes: A few scattered freckles upon the skin of his cheeks. They’re not very noticeable, and only visible from up close.
He also has a small scar on his right shoulder. This was from attempting the climb a tree as a child and falling due to a snapped branch. He fell and broke the skin on a sharp twig.

Personality-

General personality: Simon has a fairly straightforward, but overall pleasant personality. He is a joy to be around, trying his best to smile whenever he can, toward whoever he can. He is a voice of motivation and encouragement among his allies, but will need his own in order to get things done by himself. Simon is very honest and gentle with the ones he holds dearest to his heart, but can become rather protective at times. In addition, he can also become greatly possessive over said people as well. In a way, the man has slight trust issues, yet he attempts to not let those thoughts get the best of him. Simon can act very introverted and quiet when around people he doesn’t know all too well. However, the man will gradually open up over time, and will then be able to talk to his new friends for hours. If Simon feels very close to them he’ll even play around and crack cold jokes. In spite of all this, beneath Simons fun and encouraging exterior is a dim and troubled soul. As mentioned earlier, Simon has trust issues and will often attach himself to the people he loves. This leads to him commonly dragging his allies into battles against their will, asking too many questions, panicking loudly, and staying close to his companions at all times. Because of this, Simon tends to want to participate in battle with a trusted comrade by his side and rarely alone. Despite all of this, Simon normally shows his uplifting side around most people. He only feels comfortable showing his emotionally broken side to Polnareff and no one else.

Likes: Simon loves to have a nice long chat with the people he considers his closest comrades. When doing so, the man will often crack jokes (normally being cold and slightly insulting) and share a hearty laugh with them. Simon loves to express his dark taste in humour when cracking jokes, typically coming across as insulting, but he never really means them. He enjoys having human contact, and will always try his best to always be next to or have an ally by his side. His relatively positive relationship with Polnareff makes this outcome fairly possible. However, when Polnareff is not around he enjoys sticking to either Joseph or Kakyoin. He likes surprising his companions and hugging them from behind. He enjoys seeing their smiles no matter what, as it lifts his spirits and reminds him of happy times. Simon also likes questioning if things are true and never seems to entirely trust anyone. He doesn’t let this bother him however, as he enjoys making others happy. If he isn’t sure on something after the first few questions, he’ll shrug it off and continue to make others feel positive (as he sees that as more important). He loves to encourage his allies constantly, give them compliments and brighten up their often tough days. If anything, he gets an intense joy out of being the little light on the groups shoulders.

Dislikes: Simon dislikes dirty liars and people with immoral views more than anything in the world. He despises villains who abuse the weak for their own gain with a burning passion. Especially ones who use his own allies, or any sort of female. This will often send Simon in berserk mode, and make the man rather emotional. This is because of them bringing back awful and traumatic memories. Simon also highly dislikes silence and a lack of attention, as it makes him feel awkward as well as other negative emotions. If anything, the Frenchman feels as if he needs to have noise by him at all times. However, he does have a limit and is able to find loud noises bothersome. Simon dislikes being corrected and pulled up on things. He hates being called wrong or told he’s making a mistake. This normally makes him pause and throw an aggressive insult back. The insult of which, being a rougher version of one of his expected dark jokes. In addition, he highly dislikes feeling a sense of distrust. This is the bulk of why Simon often questions things. The only person he barely questions is Polnareff. He normally doesn’t care if the fellow Frenchman does anything remotely suss. But, when his friend wanders off or is nowhere to be found, Simon can become emotional yet again.

Strengths / skills: Like most Jojo characters, Simon has a wide array of physical strengths. He is a very fast runner and has immense arm strength. He uses these skills to his advantage in battle, but also uses it when he surprises his companions with hugs. Simon is always up for a chat, and can seem rather sociable, which comes in handy when attempting to get information out of any sort of enemies. Simon is mostly a voice of reason, and has the ability to bring his allies down to earth when needed. He is highly skilled at motivating others and encouraging them to push onward in tough times. However, he is unable to do any of that for himself, and will need others to assist him when he’s stuck in similar situations. When being given motivation, Simon is willing to fight in the name of anyone he holds dear. He doesn’t care if he has no idea how they’re going to get out of the battle, as long as he can fight for what’s right. Especially his friends.

Weaknesses / flaws: As mentioned many times before, Simon is a very emotional type of man. His negative emotions (which he often tries to mask) tend to get in the way of his daily life. Because of this, he often holds them in, resulting in his allies not knowing how he truly feels. This is almost entirely due to him not desiring to make anyone upset nor concerned. But, if he keeps them in too long they will often blow up if a horrible situation happens to trigger them. This always lead to Simon panicking immensely. Simon also isn’t the smartest person in the world, and will often speak his mind without thinking first. This leads to him making jokes he later regrets, saying insults, and so on. He may not be as dimwitted as say Polnareff or Joseph, but he still isn’t the brightest of the bunch. Simon is very gentle and sweet, but that can have its downsides. On more than one occasion, Simon has annoyed someone greatly by seeming as if he “babies” them. This may come in handy with young children and toddlers, but not with his older male comrades.

Hobbies: In his spare time, Simon likes to read books on gardening and medieval culture. His favourite gardening books are on planting and growing both vegetables and herbs. While his favourite medieval books are ones on the building of structures and sports such as jousting. Another hobby of his is spending time with his allies. His absolute favourite comrade to spend time with is Polnareff. This is all due to knowing the fellow Frenchman for the longest time. He enjoys reminiscing fondly with Polnareff, and discussing their current friends and families. Every once and awhile the two men will also discuss topics such as girls, flirting and dating. This is because they’re both just as desperate as each other. Other allies Simon enjoys the company of are Joseph and Kakyoin. Those are the two he feels as if he can hold an interesting conversation with, and of course trust deeply.

Fears: Simon has an immense fear of losing the ones he loves. Particularly close friends and lovers. The root of this is due to bad experiences related to said people from his past. Nothing upsets Simon more than thinking that a close comrade of his is going to be severely harmed or even mercilessly killed. This is particularly prominent toward any of the crusaders. Especially Polnareff, and even Kakyoin. Due to this, Simon is overly protective and a tad possessive over the few allies he’s the closest with. He always wants to fight for them, and make sure they’re alright at all times. His jokes and lighthearted soul often solve these problems. Simon also fears the silence and rejection. Both are also connected to his past.

Goals: Like pretty much all of the crusaders, Simon yearns to see DIO defeated with a burning passion. He wants to kill the vampire in order to avenge his girlfriend. The girl of which was foolishly persuaded onto DIOs side and then later murdered at his hand by having her blood sucked. He also wants to redeem himself for going onto DIOs side as well. He hates the fact that he thought of DIO as a friend, even with previously having healthy friendships. Simon wants to be in a better mental state and stick with the true friends of his, more than anything.

Speech: Very laid back and lazy, often using slang words. Simon likes to say words such as “Dude”, “Pal” and “Dunno.” Much like Polnareff, he also uses the occasional French words and phrases. As well as cursing in his native dialect. However, Simon doesn’t do it nearly as much.

Running gags: A majority of Simons jokes toward Polnareff are pitted at his hardships regarding getting attacked in bathrooms. The other majority are related to his best friends intelligence. In spite of this, the two tend to share a laugh afterward. There’s also a reoccurring theme of Simon failing to get girls but Polnareff coming out on top with the ladies (even if only just barely). Simon also frequently argues with Kakyoin, the man becoming the bulk of the teens annoyance. Yet, he still feels a softness toward the boy.

Crush/love interest: None. He did have a girlfriend named Katie in the past. He Does try to flirt with women frequently in the present, but always fails miserably at wooing them.
Despite this, some people (typically enemies) have mistaken his intimate, childhood friendship with Polnareff as a crush. Simon always disregards this, usually becoming flustered, embarrassed or even mildly angered at such a thought.

Katie- The two were a very close couple, who were almost inseparable. Despite their language and culture barriers, they were always together. The pair met and talked at a local cafe every day until Simon eventually confessed his undying admiration for her. Simon loved her deeply, frequently buying her presents and giving her big hugs. The couple remained together until Katie left on a trip to Egypt. Simon shrugged this off as she always went on trips. Simon didn’t hear from her for a while and became extremely anxious. He was later informed of her mysterious death and swore an oath to avenge her. He later got swooned onto DIOs side attempting to find the vampire who killed her. Following a traumatic series of events, he later found out who it in fact was. Simon still frequently thinks about and mentions Katie to this very day.

Crusaders:

Polnareff- Perhaps the character Simon is the closest with. The two originally met when Simon was only seven years old (Polnareff being six at the time). The boys fathers were friends via their careers. Simon’s father heard about the death of the other boys mother and insisted they visit, and that he cheer him up. The two children instantly became friends. Simon and Polnareff have been getting along ever since. Polnareff happened to recognise the fellow Frenchman when initially fighting against him so many years later. He’s the main reason behind why Simon joined the crusaders. In fact, Polnareff is the crusader that Simon gets along with the most, and they’re always together because of it. They’re incredibly close and intimate, with Simon being the only one whom can calm Polnareff down. Polnareff is also the only member of the group Simon feels as if he can fully trust. The two fight a majority of their battles side by side. At the end of the part they mourn their fallen comrades together, before both leaving for their native home of France.
Long after the events of part 3, they remain close friends. However, Simon doesn’t assist Polnareff on his journey to find the stand arrows. He does become aware of his best friends injuries after fighting Diavolo, as well as his changed mental state. The pair only speak to each other via many phone calls during the events if part 5. Simon does fear for his allies life when he goes to Italy. It’s unknown if Simon finds out about Polnareff’s death. Though, he probably wouldn’t have dealt with it well.

Joseph- The second crusader Simon got along with the most. Simon uses Joseph as the bulk of his jokes, often playing and messing around with the groups elderly leader. The two also run errands and set up anything for the travel group together. Simon listens to and follows all orders given by Joseph, even if they’re not the smartest of ideas. He just feels as if he needs to. However, Simon does experience slight anxiety whenever he gets in a vehicle with the old man, but he almost always tries to mask it with more dark jokes and comments. The two often laugh them off as nothing. Simon likes to think of Joseph as a close father figure, and one who makes him feel loved and cared for.

Jotaro- Even though the two barely interact, Simon doesn’t mind his younger allies company. He thinks the delinquents stand power is incredible, and often compliments it after battles. He knows all too well that he would never be able to beat Star Platinum, and sometimes feels jealous of it. The two even fight side by side on a few rare occasions, Simon showing his huge respect for the young man. Several times, Simon will openly joke around about Jotaro’s constantly rebellious behaviour. Simon tends to make comments about how the teen never seems to in a good mood, or how he needs to brighten up a bit. Despite all that, Simon believes that Jotaro means well. He feels a good sense of comradeship between them.

Avdol- The two got off to a very rocky start when Simon first met the older Egyptian. Avdol thought there was something “up” with Simon and felt as if he wasn’t truly a trusted ally. This was mainly due to Avdol being one of the first who fought Simon, and noticed how close the man was with Polnareff. He saw a bit of suspicion in their very intimate friendship. Avdol’s rocky relationship with Simon became stronger during his own falling out with Polnareff. This was because Simon agreed with Polnareff’s brief hatred toward Avdol. Although, after Avdol was shot by Hol Horse, Simon mourned him and filled with regret (though, not nearly as much as Polnareff due to soon finding out the truth). He soon developed a huge sense of gratitude toward the Egyptian when he saved Polnareff’s life after he reunited with the group. They remained allies up until Avdol was killed. Simon didn’t show much grief, but attempted with all his heart to reassure Polnareff through the mans death, shedding many tears.

Kakyoin- Even though their relationship is mostly cold-hearted on Kakyoin’s part, the pair were rather close. When first meeting Kakyoin, Simon saw him as a stuck-up and know-it-all student type with annoying qualities. He didn’t really like the teen at all on the first glance. Although, over time the man developed a kind friendship with the teenager. Even though Kakyoin is mostly unaware, Simon feels a strong need to protect the young boy. Especially after some certain events during the journey. He feels quite frightened for him and his safety. Despite this, Kakyoin normally calls Simon up on his (and also Polnareff’s) behaviour frequently. The two usually have verbal insult battles with each other because of this. Yet, no matter what, Simon still wants to protect Kakyoin and attempt to be social with him. At the end of the part, he mourns his close allies demise.

Iggy- Much like most of the crusaders, Simon sees Iggy as a simple mutt and nothing more. He was very shocked when finding out that such a foolish acting dog was going to help the group. However, Simon laughed through each and one of Iggy’s moves on Polnareff, despite the dog passing gas on and abusing his best friend. He sees Iggy as a sense of amusement, finding his relationship with Polnareff to be abundantly hilarious. Although, he is able to find the dog annoying, much like a majority of his allies. Over the length of the journey he learns to respect the mutt more. This is mainly due to Polnareff’s change of view on the dog and nothing more. He also mourns Iggy with Polnareff after the fight with Vanilla Ice.

Enemies:

DIO- Akin to every member of the crusaders, Simon hates DIO more than anything in the whole world. He seeks to kill DIO as an act of revenge and redemption. He wants to avenge the death and moral change of his once trusted girlfriend, Katie. In spite of all of this, Simon ended up joining DIOs side out of an act of loneliness and burning desperation for answers. He later found out that his lord was the one who killed Katie. The fact that the vampire fed on her sent Simon over the edge. But due to the flesh bud DIO placed in his brain, he ended up fighting the crusaders. Once free of his lords grasp, Simon wants nothing more than to see the malicious vampire killed. His hatred for DIO becomes stronger as the part goes on. After hearing about and witnessing the deaths, misfortunes and regrets of many innocent people at the hands of him. These bring a sense of trauma to Simon, and also make him incredibly angered. Simon also wants to kill DIO as an act of redemption. This is because of him finding (and rediscovering) the true friends in his life and realising that what he had with DIO was entirely forged.

Others:

Holly- Simon has only heard about the loving mother and never actually met her. He heard everything from both Joseph and Jotaro. The fact that such a gentle and sweet woman was being harmed made the man despise DIO even more. In addition, the abuse of an innocent woman at the hands of DIO reminded him of his past girlfriend. Simon mentioned on a few instances that he would love to meet her, and that she sounds utterly lovely.

Sherry- Despite his closeness with Polnareff, Simon had only met his sister on a few very brief instances. The two children got along well, and Simon has a great respect for her. Polnareff and him had sadly lost contact when Sherry was murdered, so Simon was widely unaware for the longest time. Polnareff never informed his friend until accidentally during his breakdown in India. This wholeheartedly shocked Simon. Understandably, Simon was joyous when her double right-handed murderer was brought to justice by Polnareff.

Anne (runaway girl)- Despite his gentle and protective soul, Simon saw Anne as a complete nuisance. He viewed the young girl as someone who kept getting in the way. He was one of the first members of the group who suggested that they send her home. He even fought tooth and nail to get Anne on her plane home. Due to this, Anne didn’t like him back at all. Simon did find her love for Jotaro slightly humorous, and did make a few comments on it. Such as Jokingly calling her his “girlfriend,” much to Jotaro’s aggression.

Stand information-

Stand name: Scarborough

Namesake: The 1960s folk song “Scarborough Fair” by Simon and Garfunkel

Attack type: Close-range

Stand Type: Natural-Humanoid

Appearance features: Scarborough appears as a thin humanoid creature with one massive drill for a right arm. It’s pale in colouration with flowers scattered across its body.

Abilities:
Drill arm: Scarborough has Many Close range attacks using its large drill shaped arm. It spins incredibly fast and has a sharpened point. The attacks are abundantly rough, usually drilling enemies into the ground and severely injuring them.
Kicks: It never uses its regular, free arm to attack. The stand instead, tends to kick as a secondary attack. These kicks are very hard and very fast. Scarborough usually switches between using one leg or both depending on its users mood.

Special attacks:
- Uses drill to cave an opponent into the ground
- Uses sharp point on the drill to violently puncture opponents skin
- Kicks opponent multiple times in many areas until they fall over
- Swings drill at opponents as if they were punches, beating them down

Strengths: Scarborough has exquisite speed, almost being as fast as Silver Chariot. It can move it’s drill shaped arm at great speeds and can kick 50% quicker than the usual human. It’s precision and strength are the same as the usual human, but a fairly strong one at that. It can also endure a lot of pain before reseeding back into its users body.

Weaknesses: Scarborough is a close-range stand and therefore can only hit an enemy if they’re up close. Due to this, the stand doesn’t work very well in certain situations and against certain other stands. Scarborough also lacks in development potential, as the user has had it for a long while with the stand having little-to-no changes over the course of time.

Stand cry: DORIRU DORIRU DORIRU!!

Description: Scarborough takes the form of an ambiguous humanoid, with a thin frame and slender legs. The stand is white all over with clear skin like a china-doll. The being is bald and has a pair of golden eyes (much like Hierophant Greens eyes), but an absence of a mouth. It’s right arm is a giant drill with a long sharpened tip, whilst it’s left is a regular hand with pointed fingertips. Scarborough’s body is covered a many flowers. Anything from roses, to sunflowers, to bright leaves, to sprigs of lavender. These flowers act as armor, covering the beings groin, upper chest, forehead / scalp, thighs and forearms.

Character backstory:

Childhood-
Simon was born into the lives of a French woman and a British man on a humid Septembers morning in 1964. Simon had a relatively normal upbringing. He lived in a small neighbourhood in France with the both of his parents. His mother was a stay-at-home mum, whilst his father worked at a small produce store.
He frequently stayed inside and read books on his own. The boy didn’t have many friends, but he honestly did not care. He found reading books about gardening and medieval culture to be a lot more enjoyable.
The young boy developed his stand at the age of five and saw the being as no more than an imaginary friend. As that’s what his parents viewed it as, and therefore so did Simon. He progressively began to get out of the house more once he’d developed Scarborough. Simon would use its (rather blunt at the time) drill to dig small holes in the dirt in his homes yard. He would also use its kicking ability to throw rocks into the river outside his school. He never questioned why no one could see his stand. This was entirely due to him believing that Scarborough was a figment of his imagination.
One day, while digging a hole outside, his father approached him. He informed Simon about a man he met at work. He told his son that the mans wife had recently passed away, and that the man had a son around the same age as Simon. He went on to say that the mans son was extremely upset and that perhaps a new friend to play with would cheer him up. Simon complied, eager for a companion. The little boy happily followed his father to the mans home later that very same afternoon.
When Simon had made it to the mans tiny house, he spotted an unenergised looking young boy fiddling with a toy sword in the backyard. The boy had tall silver hair and was a bit younger than Simon. As soon as Simon met with the fellow child, he ran up to him and began talking. He wanted to try with all his might to cheer up such a forlorn looking potential playmate. Within ten minutes of chatting, the two boys quickly hit it off.
Simon found out the other young boys name was Jean-Pierre Polnareff, and that he really enjoyed Simons company. After that, the pair began to come over to each others houses and play together every day. Whether it be in the morning, during the day or after school. They soon began to bond more when they both discovered that they each had stands. Simon was oddly surprised, but mostly joyous at that realisation. The two would engage in fake stand duels together, and use their own unique abilities when playing around outside.
The duos friendship lasted many, many years until their adolescence and even teenage years. The two still continued to see each other every single day. However, in their later years It was more to read, play sports, talk about girls and ‘attempt’ at doing homework. Through this Simon met the boys younger sister, Sherry and began to bond with her too. Although, not as much as her older brother.

Teenager years-
Simons life changed completely when he met the love of his life. A young woman named Katie. The two met at a local cafe when Simon was a late teenager. Katie was a tourist from America who was travelling around France at the time. The girl had an ambition to travel the world, and instantly bonded with Simon.
The two began meeting up that the very same cafe every afternoon, and soon enough Simon developed strong feelings for the girl. Simons long-time friend Jean-Pierre was not aware of their relationship, as he didn’t want to tell him. He mainly thought the fellow teenager would make fun of him if he did.
However, Simon eventually confessed to Katie and the pair shortly began dating. Simon bought Katie beautiful necklaces and treated her like an utter princess. Three years into their relationship, Katie told Simon that she was going on a trip to Egypt. Several months later Simon received a call from a relative of hers saying that she hadn’t been heard from for two weeks.
Simon became really anxious and desperately wanted to tell his best friend. But the fellow teens father had recently died, this resulted in Jean leaving the small French town with his sister and moving to another. Simon never caught the name of the town and was now alone. He felt entirely abandoned. Completely lost without anyone.

Adulthood / present-
A few years later, Simon received another call. This one was from a police investigator from Egypt, who’d been looking into a strange case. He said that he had recently found many dead girls around Cairo with mysterious holes in their necks, stripped of blood. He went on to say that Katie might have been a victim to ‘that killer’ and that she’d mostly likely been murdered. Those words broke, but motivated Simon. He decided that he was going to go to Egypt immediately and find that killer.
He quickly packed his luggage and proceeded to plan an important trip to Egypt. He hopped a plane and flew to Cairo as soon as he had saved enough money. Simon then spent the nights roaming the streets, searching up and down for any clues related to a bizarre murderer. He even went as far as asking hotel managers and store clerks, to track Katie’s steps. He even started a path travelling to all the places she’d been to before she had been killed.
Then, one night Simon met DIO. He encountered him at the end of an alleyway near one of Katie’s locations. The vampire told him that he could help Simon in his journey to find a murderer in Cairo. At first, Simon was abundantly frightened, but the mention of a friend to assist him somehow brought him over. Before Simon had the chance to properly rethink his decisions, a flesh-bud was already flying at him. Before he had the chance to attack, he was knocked unconscious.
Simon soon became one of DIOs loyal followers, starting his brand new journey. A journey to work with his lord and others to destroy the Joestar bloodline. He listened to the vampires every word and followed every order. However, one dark night, Simon broke an order.
The Frenchman creeped into one of his lords upstairs rooms without permission. There, he found a disturbingly shocking sight. Simon found the dead body of Katie, naked, slightly decayed and drained of all blood. He recognised her body, because she was still wearing a necklace Simon had given her a few years prior. Simon paused, feeling deeply sickened. Then, he completely broke down, and began having a mental feud with himself over DIO. But, no matter how hard he told himself to quickly escape the mansion, or kill DIO and or free himself from the vampires trust...he could not. DIOs control was just too strong for such a lonely man to counteract.
Before too long, DIO instructed Simon to go to Singapore and kill a certain group of Stand users. All his lord explained was that they were out to kill him. Simon, being the type to fight for anyone he ‘trusts’ automatically went out on his mission.
He found his way to the groups current form of transport. They however, soon knew he wasn’t normal and proceeded to fight him. While fighting the group on their final boat to their next location, he was quickly defeated. Simon was almost about to be pummelled by Jotaro when a voice suddenly spoke up. Polnareff lurched forward and said that he recognised the enemy stand user. Polnareff proceeded to explain who the man was, seeming rather struck. This caused Jotaro to briskly remove Simons flesh-bud. Simon soon opened his eyes to see his old friend Jean-Pierre Polnareff before him. Simon nearly burst into tears and showed a new side to the group. A side that showed the group that Simon was no longer a threat to them.
Afterward, Simon explained his reason for joining DIO and how much he wants to assist the group in their Egypt trek. The group all agreed on him travelling with them. He became part of the crusaders and followed them on their 50 journey to defeat DIO. Participating In many stand battles, hardships, and the defeats of DIO and his minions.
