Man, did this take me forever to finish! This is an idea I’ve had in my head for a long while. I’ve really been wanting to try out different styles, and I figured I’d have a go at the style of one of my favourite manga artists, as well as one of my favourite anime.I decided to draw myself as if I were a character in the Mitsuteru Yokoyama manga, Sangokushi. Though, It is through this that I realised how different the manga artwork for Sangokushi is from the anime. Anyway, I like to imagine myself as a weak but loyal warrior from the Kingdom of Shu, named Shing Bai, and I’ll definitely be paired with Zhang Fei 😊
So, the first pic is my own style, the middle is the manga from the 70s, and the last one is the anime from 1991. I attempted to mimic the styles as best as I could, even adding the changes between clothing and faces that each has.
