I think the shading turned out very nicely!
I especially love the shadow on the ground right of the boulder which gives it a nice touch ^^

Wow the idea is pretty good i like the face of the smiley and the animation, u mentioned the shading of the ball looks odd imo it looks ok , what i feel strange is the lighting coming only from the left wall.

but it still looks really good

I think the looping could have been a little smoother, and I see what you mean about the shading on the ball, but otherwise very good.
