er...okay. i needed a new deviant id so i chose to ignore my other projects to do this...don't hate me TT-TT I'll continue oot project. i haven't given up yet ^^ but i'm also doing a collab for my buddy, so that's a delay. i'm also working on something else, so that's three projects. Bear with me friends!!!I dunno how she did it, but this pic was edited by and i borrowed it to color it. So i make no claim for it.

Beautiful coloring! I really love the color you picked for the blonde hair (I've seen waaaay too many people pick bright yellow-- it's refreshing to see a more realistic color!). Cute background too.
Did the original lines come from the OoT manga?

Thank you ^^ i know right? People color zelda's hair unnaturally yellow, sometimes. I've always had this ideal that women should have softer, naturals, light colors whereas men should have darker colors on them. I usually color link with darker colors considering that he always spends his time outside rather than inside, while Zelda is always in the castle. But then again i always exaggerate with the highlights lol oh, i think they do come from the manga, i don't know how, but the person fixed it quite nicely and made that effect.

I agree with you about the skin colors. Link would probably be really tan by the time he finished fighting Ganon! All that running around Hyrule Field...
As for Zelda, that probably goes back to the Sheik debate: whether Zelda actually changed into a male form using magic, or just disguised herself. I suppose either way she would have spent most of her time in hiding, so... yeah, I think the paler, pinker skin tone works nicely for her.

yeah, that's just how i see it. Link is more exposed than Zelda is. And people for some odd reason always color Link so pale that he almost glows. It's not that it's bad, but the coloring should be a bit more realistic in my opinion.

Oh my goodness, yes. People do that way too much. It's really unrealistic. I like the idea of a well-done pale skin tone, but NOT on someone who so obviously spends all his time outdoors! Same goes for Malon. In my opinion, she should not be pale either.

yeah, realism is probably my main ideal when coloring. For one, if the picture has a couple of characters, they should not all have the same skin tone. The skin tone should be dark enough to be able to add highlights or else it is too pale. The saturation has to be just right because i don't want to end up with neon colors. Malon should have darker skin too, i agree. I mean, she does spend most of her time outside with the horses.
