I watched the Bardock special ("DBZ: A Final, Solitary Battle") again a little while ago for the first time in absolute years and... ;A;So good...
The title refers to Bardock's theme song, Solid State Scouter , which plays during this and the final fight sequence . I LOVE this theme! It's extremely retro but in an oh so good way... And it fits Bardock perfectly!
But oh man... Bardock, I love you and everything but DAMN, there's nowhere to hide your muscles!
He still wins major points for being the best dressed old-school Saiyan, though. Definitely. Pants FTW.
It was a semi-quickie. I'll probably scrap this really soon. Dunno if I'll color it.

I drew this wanting it to be the final 1 vs 1000 battle scene, so yes, you could say he's spotted Freeza! The problem is he doesn't actually look anything like this in that scene (he's supposed to be all battered and bloody.. and he's got a scouter and both red wrist thingies...) and then drawing the scene itself was hellish (and I didn't wanna make a super-detailed scene anyway) so I took a shortcut and made a rather generic one-man Bardock piccy... but oh well. Artistic freedom ftw!
