I said there'd be more RuroKen fanart coming, yes? 8DWell, to be honest I just drew Kaoru up quickly in PS so I could try out Corel Painter X. (So much for thought-out fanart.) There's even a few mistakes there, d'oh.
Painter is a program I've been meaning to try out for ages now but alas, my procrastinating gets the better of me at all times. Anyway, it's a really cool program but man, it sure takes a while to get used to. There are so many options there I felt quite overwhelmed by it all... @___@ I found one simple brush and latched on to that, hence the actually really basic coloring. xD Oh well. The background was also done on Painter.
It's not 100% Painter though, since I touched it up in PS after the basic stuff was finished. I gave it new outlines and added the white lines everywhere.. and made it brighter. Compared to the previous version that one sure looked washed out...
But I guess mixing media like that is pretty good for a change.

Yah. The only reason I knew how to use it was because I took a digital art course a couple years ago....but I've probably forgotten how to use it since I've been doing more traditional stuff lately D:
