Description I don't know why I drew this. I just knew I wanted to draw her and this is how it turned out.

This new android character in dragon ball might be the hottest character in the series (in my opinion). I mean a scientist chick with messy long hair and a harley quinn-like outfit? Hell fucking yeah!
This character better be playable cause nothing else about the game makes it look worth the money so far.
Hope you like.

Android 21 is from dragon ball/I own nothing

She’s my favorite character from the series and I haven’t watched any DBZ.

I don't think androids do burp or gain weight for that matter, but I guess it depends on how they are. Like they're either more like robots or more like humans. How they were modified or built or programmed. I don't know, but this one seems to be a human that has been modified into an android. So in this case I suppose she would be able to burp and stuff.

These ones could indeed burp, actually--although they're called androids, the Android characters are actually cyborgs, Toriyama just used the wrong word.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

Mizz-Britt In reply to TheSwedishElf [2017-11-08 06:42:44 +0000 UTC]

It's alway been my belief that you can just use the term android or cyborg for anything robotic because there's so many different adaptations that will use the word however they please

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TheSwedishElf In reply to Mizz-Britt [2017-11-09 08:33:27 +0000 UTC]

But they each mean specific things. An android is a humanoid construct, a cyborg is a human with any amount of cybernetic attachments and implants. And upon further looking into this, it turns out Toriyama used neither word originally--the word he used, "jinzoningen", literally translates to "artificial human", which localizers then took to mean "android", so I guess it's on them moreso than him. :V

DBFZ is like my dream come true. Finally a legit DBZ fighting game, from the creators of Guilty Gear (They previously did Super Sonic Warriors on the GBA and DS, but they weren't really what I'd consider a well designed fighting game).

I'm hoping for a few more female characters though. There's no way 21 won't be playable, I'd like to at least see ChiChi, she was pretty awesome in Super DBZ, that one was done by a former producer of Street Fighter and Darkstalkers, but it was a really weird game. Never really caught on, but I think DBFZ has the potential to be huge in the fighting game scene.

Mizz-Britt In reply to RunningWiId [2017-11-08 06:41:02 +0000 UTC]

Well of course there's 18 but other than that I don't foresee any other female characters unless we get some DVD characters like kale and califla.

i don't really care though cause the game looks like an atrocity so far

RunningWiId In reply to Mizz-Britt [2017-11-08 07:14:58 +0000 UTC]

There's also Zanyga from the Bojack movie, she was pretty cool, I dig her design alot, but she's probably unlikely, I doubt they'd include movie characters, unless it's like maybe Broly since he's so popular.

I'm a bit curious why you think the game looks like an atrocity though. I haven't been this excited for a new DBZ game since... well ever lol. The only thing that really bugs me about the game is alot of characters revealed early on are kinda "samey", and that's been a major problem in alot of previous DBZ games like the Budokai and Tenkaichi games where they try to fit in as many characters as possible, but they all share the same moves and same basic gameplay, even down to having the exact same combo's, which made them super boring imo. But since they revealed characters like Android 16, Tienshinhan, Yamcha, Nappa and Captain Ginyu, the game is starting to show some better character moveset diversity. I'm still a bit bummed they made Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta into separate characters however, that seems like a huge waste to me, those easily could've been incorporated as transformations like Sol's Dragon Install in Guilty Gear. I'm also not a fan of developers announcing there will be a number of DLC characters before the game releases. I much preferred how The King Of Fighters XIV handled it's DLC by waiting a good 6 or so months after the game was completed to include some extra characters and really build up the hype leading up to them.

Your first sentence is exactly my problem with it. There are no cool characters yet. I know half the roster hasn't even been shown yet, but I somehow have a bad feeling that we're gonna get even less characters than xenoverse. Plus I don't like the game play style, at least not for dbz

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RunningWiId In reply to Mizz-Britt [2017-11-08 18:00:15 +0000 UTC]

Ever hear of a fighting game called Arcana Heart? I always believed that game's movement system and gameplay would be ideal for something like Dragon Ball Z with it's high flying aerial fighting and dash system.

Honestly though when it comes to a fighting game, I'd much prefer quality characters over quantity. It's much easier to balance out with a smaller roster and allows for more diversity in gameplay styles. Like one of my beefs with alot of the older DBZ fighters is they gotta put in every version of a character, like Dragon Ball Final Bout for instance had like several different Goku's taking up slots on the character select, and two of them were completely identical besides a costume change. Then when the Budokai Tenkaichi series happened, suddenly we started getting every minor and insignificant character ever like Cui and Appule lol. But then again we did get a playable Yajirobe at one point... if they put Yajirobe in DBFZ I'd be all over that.

Hmm, but who knows. Maybe if DBFZ is a success, it'll lead to other prolific anime getting major fighting games. Like I'd love to see a new Sailor Moon fighting game, we haven't gotten one of those since the Super Nintendo and Playstation days, Yu Yu Hakusho has been out of the loop for awhile since the Playstation 2 era.

The good thing this game will do is get alot of new players to play and learn fighting games because Dragon Ball Z is such a huge franchise worldwide, and Arc System Works is a very prolific fighting game developer. It'll be a huge stepping stone into the world of fighting games I'm sure.Β

Ya never know, I mean after how Street Fighter V and Marvel vs Capcom Infinite turned out, I'm sure people already got their sights on the next big game.

But then again, this is Arc System Works... they ran Guilty Gear and BlazBlue into the ground, everytime a new installment comes out it dies within months lol. These games just don't get the same level of support from it's fans or it's developer. Capcom was able to keep their flagship fighter afloat because they invested so heavily into the eSports scene, but even that ship is starting to dwindle.

It's an unfortunate curse. I mean I'd probably not buy DBFZ when it releases until it get a Complete Edition with a big fat discount. I learned my lesson to never buy a new fighting game at full price after what happened with Street Fighter V. I just hate the way games are handled today with game developers selling an "early access beta" at full price ya know?
