Since I was in such a happy happy joy joy mode after hearing about the new metroid game, I still had enough energy after doing the first samus pic to do this one. Honestly, I'm a little ashamed that it took this long for me to draw Samus in this suit. I mean it is only my favorite version of the suit of one of my favorite characters from my favorite game of all time.The joke here is that absorbing all those x-parasites does a real number on samus's figure but all that added weight doesn't really matter if her suit let's her be just as quick and flexible as normal.
I also think this is a good time to bring up something that I keep forgetting to mention but I am actually more attracted to samus when she's in the suit. IDK, maybe it's because I grew up playing the games and the suit is what I got used to , maybe it's just that girls in full body armor is hot (especially when fat), or maybe it's just a great design but anyway, that's actually why I don't draw her that much despite her being one of my all time favorite characters: If i'm gonna draw her, I'd rather draw her in the suit but the suit is hard to draw.Β

I actually agree that she looks better in the suit. It's more recognizable, and tight clothes hug the curves way better. It's why I like your Dark Samus series so much as well.

What else is great about the suit is knowing she doesn't actually need it but wears it anyway. Inside that armor is an Amazonian badass who's only wearing it cause it gives her extra defense and a truckload of weapons, and that's pretty awesome.
Also the suit makes fat Samus look even sexier, of course.

Technically, since as mentioned, it's what gives her defense and weapons. But strength-wise? It canonically does nothing. She's just that powerful due to her intense lifelong training with the Chozo and being infused with their blood.

Actually no, it isn't, and for Other M to be canon, literally all the other games would have to not be. Hell, Other M renders the manga non-canon even if it were canon, because the manga portrays Samus as the other games do and shows her get over her fear of Ridley, which was actually realistic there because he deliberately described in horrible detail what he did to her parents. And guess what, obtainable item =/= default function. So yeah, nice "gotcha" attempt, but no, the suit's function is still protection and ammo. Do you seriously believe that a muscular 6-foot woman who underwent training on an alien planet her whole life and was infused with Chozo blood would NOT be strong without armor helping her?

I didn't say she herself wasn't strong, just that the armor helped. And which parts of Other: M declare anything that happened cannonically up to that point in the timeline uncanonical? Yeah, the writing's shit but it doesn't change any cannon. And you have to remember Samus is already in PTSD, not from Ridley this time, but part of her closure was killing him. So when he's alive again, a little hole pops open, re-opening her fear of Ridley/ PTSD caused by him all over again.

Countless parts of Other M directly contradict what happened in the other games, including Samus' own design and her backstory, the fact that the game pretends the Prime triogy never happened, and rewriting the ending of Super Metroid to better suit the game's message. And no, that scene has jack to do with PTSD, which btw you don't simply get over. Samus has canonically killed Ridley FIVE TIMES by the time Other M happens {once in the first game/Zero Mission, plus a robot built in his likeness, twice in the Prime trilogy, once in Samus Returns, the official replacement for Metroid 2, and once in Super Metroid}, if anything she should've lost her mind with rage over the fact that he won't stay dead.
And again, no, the armor generally does not affect her strength. It's literally been stated that it doesn't. Items FOR the armor can boost her strength, but the armor itself does not.

Skin tights are great but I can agree that there's something special about having a full armored suit that's designed in a way to be basically impenetrable just barely keeping the fat of the user inside contained.
