finally got a Wacom Intuos tablet, and i swear digital drawing is now much more easier and convenient :3

Now I'm all for there being an evil counterpart to the Avatar and feel free to do so, but we still can't have a total repeat of the whole thing with Vaatu from the second Korra book. Perhaps it could be a combination of Vaatu and a artificially engineered Avatar.

Vaatu could take advantage of some program where they artificially engineer Avatars. Just proposing some friendly pointers.

see that's the thing that incredibly frustrated/annoyed me about Korra; how each season isn't a direct continuation of the other, unlike ATLA. If i were the creators, I'd pitch 4 Avatar shows, each with a different Avatar, that follows the cycle. Korra would strictly be about the whole Equalist thing, the Earth Avatar after her will be something about Man VS. Nature, and the Fire Avatar Rani here will be about the whole Raava VS Vaatuu thing that could make the Dark Avatar come into play, as some grand finale to the whole franchise. but no, i'm so disapointed with the direction Korra is going as of late

I've seen the sketches of her, but it's really cool to see Ran in color. Her hair style is really cool and it's also nice that you kept the pointy toed shoe style from the Fire Nation. I'd like to think that no matter what era the Avatar world is in, pointy toed shoes are always in style in the Fire Nation. Haha.
