Holy Sh*t, this is f***ing amazing! This really should have been the US cover for the Special Edition DVD.

Where to start...? This piece has it all: perfect composition and position of the characters, amazing use of colors, attention to detail, and so on... Both Tom Baker and Louis Jamison look perfect in this. Over all, great work!

You did an amazing job of rendering the Dask/Capel character in his Robot Overloard persona. I'm also glad that you included D84, because I really liked him in the story.

Thanks so much for you kind remarks! Means a lot. "Robots" is one of my all time favorite WHO's. One day if I have time I would like to revisit this story with a new piece.

Is it me or do those robots share a resemblance to those robot angels from Voyage of the Damned?

A little, but I find their Voc predecessors far superior.

Man... As one of the biggest fangirls of this serial I must say that this absolutely rocks! The Vocs in the top are lovely and of course the Doctor, Leela and Taren Capel/Dask are very well done! And in pastels you say? Bravo!
Now if you add a little Poul into the mix...

I actually have a big chunk of my gallery devoted to The Robots of Death if you're interested. And soon I'm starting some art from the Chris Boucher sequel Corpse Marker

Bravo again!

Thanks for the kind words. I'll have to check out your Vocs. "Robots" was probably one of my top 5 WHO faves. You may get your wish with Chief Mover Poul, as I would like to revist this story again. There were soo many great performances. Big fan of Toos (the lovely Pamela Salem)as well!

Aww That's music to my ears! I always loved Poul (David Collings being the coolest actor ever!) and Toos (I thought she was a breath of fresh air, and Pamela was quite lovely in 'Remembrance of the Daleks' too). Of course I'd love to see how you'd pull it off, I couldn't do pastels for the life of me, markers, but not pastels *gulp!*

Hopefully my Vocs don't creep anyone out! I'm going to post some fanart for Corpse Marker tomorrow actually. I'm pretty happy Chris Boucher wrote a decent sequel!

Beautiful piece. The likenesses are spot on, the references are clever, the composition is engaging. This would make a professional cover for the novel or DVD of this story...

Thanks for the kind words. This was one of the first "realist" pieces I did. Pretty happy with most of it but probably would have toned down the "spacey" background in hindsight. Would you believe that was done with pastels? Didn't have an airbrush at the time....

Well I have just gone from being astonished by it to be slack-jawed with amazement.....

I think Robots of Death was one of my personal favourite stories and simply love your take on it.
