Maybe you can reconstruct it digitally from the scan and then digitally color it...? Better than nothing...?

Perhaps, but seeing it all footprinted up is de-motivating. It was pretty nice really. Damn! I got that arc of the dome looking great! Cat's indeed have no taste in art.

He started out as a tiny squiggle on another sheet of paper and I thought the shape of the head came out quite well. I then carefully tried to recreate that energy in a larger more finished image. The doodle is still better of course. But thank you for the kind words.

There's nothing really wrong with that.  After all most of what we do, myself included is mearly an amalgamation of what we've seen, heard or experienced.  Hey Led Zeppelin got away with it for years. (I do happen to like Zeppelin, but I'm just saying)

Well right now I had simply better finish the art no matter how original or not original it may be. But I'm out of town for another week and the drawing is hundreds of miles out of reach at the moment.
