Firelord is one of my all time favorite characters from Marvel Comics. Besides being a smart-ass, he was a Herald of Galactus who was given the power cosmic in the form of becoming a living human sized sun. Stylistically I just love the flaming hair, the glowing yellow eyes and the bright orange skin. It just gives him the look of being pure energy and I wanted to make the character look like he was illuminating the darkness around him just as brightly as the stars around him.This was one of the first pieces I tried with Paintshop.

I donβt know. Iβm partial to both versions so I may do something with both. Though I have to say my favorite version was the purple android version they resurrected during the Herald Saga in the Silver Surfer books where Morg debuted and Nova (Frankie Raye) died. From what I remember the android was back in the original costume but was deactivated again during the Annihilation crossover and for some reason Firelord was running around naked with flaming dreadlocks. Great crossover but some of the revamps to certain characters were just lame.
