Description

This is VENOM agent Floyd Malloy codename: Birdman.

Very little is known for sure about Floyd Malloy’s background except that he’s Australian.

Malloy has claimed he wanted to be a fighter pilot since he was a kid but was rejected by the Airforce because he was “too short” which seems to point more toward his short temper than his actual physical height.

Despite this Malloy somehow managed to become a very skilled but reckless pilot coining his nickname Birdman. Malloy has repeatedly and angrily stated he hates his real name and tells anyone who calls him by his real name to call him Birdman.

Besides being an expert pilot Malloy is an excellent motorcyclist and was the leader of an outlaw biker gang. It’s believed that this is where he became a highly skilled forger specializing in making counterfeit money. This has also given him the uncanny ability to spot fakes and forgeries of any kind just from cursory examinations.

It’s believed that Malloy’s forgery expertise and his daring exploits as a biker came to the attention of VENOM who offered him membership within their ranks. Malloy readily accepted the offer and has been an agent ever since.

Malloy is gifted at stealth and specializes in ambushing enemies which combined with his reckless and maniacal nature makes him an unpredictable and unnerving foe to face in any situation.

Malloy is paranoid and has a very pessimistic view on life. He often predicts things will go bad for him in any given situation especially when it comes to a scheme or any deal, he feels are too good to be true.

Whenever something goes bad, he will often angrily yell, “I knew this would happen!” or something to that effect and gripe about not getting his fair share of the loot when a mission fails. Malloy’s chronic griping and complaining usually grates on his teammate’s nerves.

Malloy is loyal to Miles Mayhem and VENOM’s ideals and goals but he isn’t very trusting of his fellow agents but he will begrudgingly work with them to complete any mission or task he’s given.

Malloy has an intense dislike of fellow agent Sly Rax possibly due to Rax’s arrogant belief that if he were in charge VENOM would be more successful and profitable.

Despite his personality flaws Malloy respects the chain of command and follows orders from Miles Mayhem and Vanessa Warfield without fail even if he questions the validity of the mission he’s been assigned.

Malloy’s only real happiness seems to come from riding his motorcycle, flying and fighting and he takes great pleasure in pitting his combat skills, driving skills and stunt flying skills against others and will often laugh maniacally while doing it.

Floyd Malloy wears Buckshot mask which fires steel ball bearings with pinpoint accuracy at high speeds.

The mask itself can form the ball bearings out of metallic particles in the air and solidify them into steel-hard ball orbs within seconds and fire them in rapid bursts much like a machine gun. Because of this process the ball bearings themselves appear to glow making them look like they form out of light instead of solid material.

Buckshot mask can fire a single shot or rapid-fire barrages of ball bearings like a machine gun with tremendous force. The ball bearings can be fired hard enough to pierce aircraft fuselage, automotive steel, shatter concrete and shred softer materials like steel-belted rubber tires or thick wood.

Buckshot can fire these ball bearings from a muzzle located on the top left and right side of the mask as well as a shoulder-mounted muzzle that attaches to Buckshot. The mask can fire from all three muzzles at the same time but this can quickly overheat the mask if done for sustained periods of time.

Malloy’s biker uniform is covered in different types of ball bearings which he can load into Buckshot mask manually or through the over-the-shoulder strap he wears across his chest. These specialized ball bearings include tear gas, smoke screen/smoke bomb, acid, explosive and incendiary ball bearings. Malloy rarely uses these in favor of the standard solid steel bearings.

Buckshot mask has a built-in line of sight guidance system that will shoot the ball bearings wherever Malloy focuses his eyes making it accurate enough to shoot a gun from the hand of an enemy with a single shot or riddle a victim or vehicle with rapid fired bearings to cause as much damage as possible.

Buckshot Mask can make an air-tight seal around the wearer’s nose and mouth when in flight and has its own air supply linked to Vampire as well as an emergency air supply contained in the mask’s collar itself.

Malloy’s biker outfit is heavily padded and layered to withstand the rigors of open cockpit flight including a backup oxygen supply as well as thermal heating pads for warmth at higher altitudes and freezing climates on land.

Malloy pilots Vampire, a turbo powered touring motorcycle that converts to a twin engine powered fighter jet.

Vampire’s saddle bag compartments unfold into duel raked wings that have “dread wing detonator” machine guns that fire explosive tracer rounds

The saddle bags each contain a single experimental miniaturized ramjet called a Boom Thruster that allows Vampire to fly at Mach 1.2 (960 MPH) making it extremely fast and maneuverable in the air.

The thrusters can also be engaged when in motorcycle mode on land for quick bursts of speed or turbo-boosted jumps. Vampire’s top speed on land in motorcycle mode without thrusters is 144 MPH.

The thrusters also double as missile launchers and can launch “retro rocket” missiles that can electromagnetically attach to any vehicle and fire thrusters that oppose the forward motion of the vehicle, thereby causing it to decelerate rapidly causing it to stall, crash or spiral out of control.

The rockets also contain explosives and can be used as standard laser guided missiles or detonate remotely once attached to a vehicle.

The rear of each thruster contains compartments filled with steel-spiked balls that can be sprayed on roadways to cause catastrophic tire damage to any land vehicle.

The flip up stabilizers both have dual laser tracers that fire short laser bolts that can pierce steel or military grade aircraft fuselage.  The laser tracers can also be used to paint a laser target on moving or stationary objects to guide the retro rocket missiles to their target.

Vampires cowling folds down to reveal a “Boomerang Atom Blaster” attached to the handlebars that fires devastating crescent-shaped plasma blasts capable of atomizing any target within 40 feet. The blaster can only target line-of-site due to it being a part of the steering mechanism.
