Description
I'm still fairly new to drawing Transformers so I'm enjoying the challenge of drawing the characters. I asked Glaug [link] to throw a TF premise at me for a picture because I knew he'd pick someone I wouldn't think of trying to draw. His pick was Red Alert. Red Alert is the Autobot Security Chief who is also an overly cautious, neurotic mess that's prone to paranoia and panic attacks when he feels a situation is out of his control.Glaug suggested putting him in a situation where he's alone in a monitor room during a crisis and he's freaking out and here is the result.
I wanted to make the character feel like he's being beset on all sides by threats while at the same time making him feel like he's all alone hence the multiple screens semi-circle and the long floor disappearing into the darkness behind them.
I drew everything but the pictures on the computer screens and whatβs inside the containment tube. I made collages from scans of The Ark Transformers book which has literally every single character from the original 1980s cartoon series and animated movie in glorious black and white. On the back screens Shockwave on Cybertron sends the ever insane Galvatron to Earth via Space Bridge.
I used pencil, pen and marker to create the picture itself as well as Paintshop Pro 7 to color it.

Look closely at the tubes on the control desk, he's there.

I've thrown him in a few TF pics. You just have to find him. He's kind of like an Easter Egg I throw out there from time to time.
