Description
Fleurling Adoptables
Ohman ohman, I've finally done it! I've been wanting to come up with my own "breed" of adoptables for some time now, so, I present to you fleurlings! The point of this breed was to give a bit of backstory to the adopts while still making them available to be played outside of the fleurling universe. That being said, you can do anything with these types of adopts, whether it be taking on their backstory or making up something completely new yourself. Either way, I hope everyone enjoys these characters just as much as I enjoy making them.
I'll be posting up a set of fleurling adoptables very soon, so please keep an eye out for them. If anyone has any comments regardin their look or storyline, I'd love to hear them
Below is all the information on fleurlings, something I'll update as the story expands:
Fleurling (singular) / Fleurlings (plural)
Pronounciation
Fleur (flœʀ): Flower
-Ling (l ng): Diminutive
Overview:
Fleurlings are born of the earth, more specifically from gardens and other cultivations that have been made with pure intention and good energies. Fleurlings thrive with their gardens and their health depends on the health of the garden they’re born from. If a garden is taken care of and looked after, the fleurling appearance will be lively and well groomed. However, if the garden falls into disrepair, the fleurling starts to look disheveled and sickly. At times, a fleurling must leave the garden they’re born into if it has been destroyed in some manner and if the fleurling can’t find a new garden or another fleurling to take them in, the gardenless fleuring will wither away and die, just like the garden that birthed them.
Appearance:
Fleurlings come in all shapes, sizes, and colorings, looking just as unique as the gardens they’re from. They are usually on the smaller side of human height and aren't usually taller than 5ft. However, there are exceptions and much taller fleurlings have been seen.
There are three types of fluerlings:
Urban: These fleurlings have grown up in the cities and metropolises of the world. Not only have they taken on the look of their garden, but they have also picked up fashion choices from the bustling cities around them. They are more sophisticated than their brethren and tend to be very well groomed and somewhat posh. Examples of urban garden types would be indoor gardens, window boxes, roof-top gardens, and anything else you could find in the city relating to lovingly cultivated plant life.
Country: As the name implies, these particular fleurlings are from more country areas that surround the outside of the busy cities. There’s more open spaces here and less homes and people to draw influence from. So, these fluerlings have a more natural appearance and with often times be seen draped in flowers of plants of their choice and may or may not wear some sort of minimalistic garment.
Wild: Wild fleurlings are the most naughty of the fluerling breed. These types are born from the mountains and the back woods of places, the empty spots of the world where not many people are. Not much is known about the wild fleurling or why they appearance in places that haven’t been cultivated by humans. Their appearance is generally more animalistic and they sport a wide variety of pattering that most normal fleurlings are without. These fleurlings are a little more rare, simply because they are hardly seen.
Habits and Abilities:
Fleurlings are inquisitive creatures, though are very shy. Most of the time they will not reveal themselves to humans, instead they prefer to remain invisible among the plants and flowers. However, they can be lured out by gifts and intriguing objects. If a person suspects they have a fleurling in their garden, the can coax them out by leaving yummy snacks out on their doorstep.
-A fleurling in your garden means you have a healthy and happy garden
-Above all else, fleurlings love gifts and can be easily won over by them
-Shiny objects are their favorites and they will often pick up seemingly worthless things and wear them
-Fleurlings have the ability to be invisible, but only so long as they are in the foliage of their gardens. Inside houses or other places, they are unable to go about unseen
-Being social amongst themselves, a fleurling will often times visit a neighboring fleurling for a chat
