I still remember how scandalized my father looked when I first wore it. It was just as short as the ones on the show and you could see my red panties like Uhura. He told me he didn't think it looked right and that I shouldn't wear that in public. I said, "but it's just like the real thing." And he said, "yeah I know. that's why I don't want to see you in that." LOL XD. I used to have a phaser but not a tricorder. I must say I was tempted to bid on a set of old tricorder, phaser, and communicator on eBay but I didn't because I can't afford it right now.
