Description I was a fan of the X-Files from season one, but later it bogged down . . . oh, well.

Fox Mulder, played by David Duchovny . . . .

I love the X-Files and I love this!
is it weird to admit I have a bit of a crush on Mulder?

*I* had a bit of a crush on him back in the day . . . . too bad the series ended so oddly and the movies aren't as much fun.

Fact is, Agent Mulder, you were closer than you ever knew. Perhaps with a slightly wider perspective.

Being part alien might have been a major part of poor Fox's problem, dunno . . . . but he fits in with some of my other spy and special agent favorites!

hmmmm. HOw do you go about this anyway...how do you ink. Perhaps you should make a video on it

If you use a light box, it's pretty easy, actually. I have drawn free hand for some of the graphics, others I had to do some of it on a light box. But you do need a black and white copy to do them from . . .

No video equipment, sorry. But if you have a good black and white photo, you make a copy of it and put it on a light box, put a piece of index stock or Bristol board over that, and just draw the outline of the black areas and fill it in later.

I've discovered a lot of people just can't see that sort of outline, though . . . .

OH wow...thanks a lot I'll remember this when I get an ink set. Perhaps you can give me advice after you see my work

I wasn't sure if you wanted a critique, or what. As long as you have fun and keep learning, you'll just get better and better. I know I did!

Yeah I understand perfectly...I wanted a critique when the times comes yet I will just have fun and go at it and develope my own little style

It's always best to find your own way of drawing and inking. I've found out that if you only copy other artists, you wind up magnifying their weaknesses! If they're bad at feet, you'll never get them right until you puzzle it out and study feet on your own.

I can copy other artists and did once upon a time, but then only used bits and pieces of their style until my own gelled. A friend calls my inking style bold, and can always tell my art, so I guess even though I have several styles, my personality or something comes through.

That's completely true

And I do the same...I used the artist who did "Courage the cowardly dog" style but didn't just copy him
