Innocence and Curiosity Series
This series studies the way that young children perceive the world with an unreserved curiosity, through eyes not yet clouded by a full understanding of life in its entirety; an approach that values the simple beauty of life. The paintings in this series aim to reconnect the viewer with a forgotten and often incomprehensible childlike innocence and curiosity.

I love the way the hair hangs off her (his?) head. Reminds me of when I went to Paris as a child.

The innocence of blondes and girls are overrated.

This picture had nothing to do with the "innocence of blondes." That was you being somewhat of a creeper. It was about the innocence of children before they understand the world while they are exploring it. You're somewhat coming off like a trolling pervert. Just saying.

No. I hate blonde women because they are the cause of the feminism rubbish that lead to the death of thousand non-blonde non-women.

Pffft, that doesn't represent blondes or girls alone but children in general.

No. It represent a blonde and a girl. If it does not represent either of those (horrid things), it would have pictured an Asian boy.

Why an asian boy?
As a person who lives in the East, I can assure you children all over the world are innocent & curious once upon a time.

*sighs*
The painter, if you have not observed, is a western world citizen, thus probably most of the people around him are blonde or at least brown haired.
He didn't paint thisΒ without Β inspiration, which is saying he took the idea of this from his environment, a sister, neighbor, a friend's sister perhaps.Β
He didn't choose blonde hair Β implicating that the ONLY blond girls are children but because that is what he SAW that inspired the image.

Because the 'blonde girls are innocent' stereotype is not only incorrect, but it is overdone.

the idea here is "CHILDREN are innocent" -_-

Yet the picture shows a BLONDE GIRL
Apparently the picture is not only trying to purport the myth that Blonde Girls are innocent, but it is also implying the lie that the only children are Blonde Girls.

You still have to explain the choice of subject and/or gender.

Okay, after your last reply, I'm pretty certain that you're a kid--probably 13 or so (especially after that rubbish about blondes leading to the death of thousands of non-blond people...I mean...seriously?). That being said, I'm going to patiently break this down for you. It's clear you've got deeper issues than hate of someone because of their natural born hair color--as it is obvious that (unless you're Hitler, who believed someone was superior by the color of their hair, eyes, and skin) one's hair color obviously does not have anything to do with one's personality. Otherwise, everyone in Asia would have near the exact same personality. That goes for any country or continent where everyone has similar looking features. What you look like does not say who you are.
You need to grow up a little and stop trolling. This man whose painting you left a comment on does not care about your personal view of blondes--which to the rest of the world sounds childish. He was doing a study on kids--and has more than one painting in his collection. The degree of which you have drug out this conversation has proven you to be a troll (or at least makes you look like one) because while everyone understands why people would defend this guy's painting, they're not quite sure why you insist on spamming it.
So, kid, the choice of subject is that if people really think like that--that someone is inferior and condemnable because of how they look--than there will always be hate and death in this world for petty and stupid things such as discrimination. Do not contribute to such things. It's foolish and a waste of your and everyone else's valuable time.

Everyone who replied to me has just posted my views on this painting, albeit in a twisted way. I think the painter is positively discriminating (also known as uplifting) blondes and girls, whether or not he knows it or not.
There is even an entry in tvtropes for this phenomenon:Β tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.phpβ¦
No, I am not wasting my own time. I am having fun making you support my argument in a roundabout way.

lol, yeah, okay kid. Have a nice day. But, while you're at it, maybe you should actually take a look at this painter's gallery before you say more things that embarrass yourself--as you are the only one who has made a comment about someone's natural, uncontrollable physical features making them superior or inferior. His gallery shows the opposite of what you're saying. In fact, he doesn't really even have that many human paintings--and which ones he does have do not show particular favoritism of any race or trait, but rather the beauty of the human mind and body. In fact, most of his paintings are of nature--and a few of the children images are of the same children (probably his family members--ergo, that is the reason he is painting them, obviously).Β

Beautiful piece, thanks for sharing, it just grabs you, so innocent, great use of colours and the energy you get from the picture, the fall of her hair and the gaze you have created a wonderful piece albeit the words of a novice. I will check out your gallery on the internet when I get a moment.
