Description
Edit: Made a slight adjustment. Looks much more orderly now.Amazingly, only took about an hour to make, minus time it took to move those ghastly tachikomas into position (takes around 10 mins just to open the damn file!).
This is one of my most spectacular pieces to date, in my opinion.
I'm open to suggestion, but first, yes, I know a few little bits are blurred. I like it.

I definetly like to beef up my version. I want to know how you made those rings. Did you find an easy way to do it and is it a vector graphic?

Well, the rings were made using brushes by ~z-design and then applied to a sphere. TOnight i shall be embarking on an attempt to make another one by hand, and more true to the series, so feel free to contact me on messenger for any details or other little things you wanted to know.

very very nice and smooth. I have never seen the original so can't compare it, but I can see the quality in the work.
Moving large objects around can be tedious, can you display them as boxes just to move them around?

Thanks. It's actually based a little more on the manga style, with a bit of my own artistic licence thrown in for good measure

Not bad at all! My suggestions are twofold - dabble with some alternative blending modes (such as linear dodge, overlay etc) to get a proper feeling of luminous data structures, and some lines connecting data nodes, leading in and out of gates would look cool.
