It is so very easy to get captures like this wrong. It begins with actually composing the picture and creating the mood necessary to add that touch to the image that makes one want to spend just that little bit longer looking at it.
The artist has managed all that very well here. On top of that he has managed to expose not only the subtle hues of green in the surrounding vegetation, but also not over expose the flowing water. Technically speaking a very professional shot with light and shadow captured perfectly. It is shots like this that inspire one to get out there and give it a go for yourself!

In this picture runs nothing, but perfection and mother nature's beauty. The view of this photo was perfectly taken. The view of the moss covered rocks and plants that run along down the hill enriches the picture with bright green life. The picture is wide enough where you could see the clear, light bluish river run down from one rocky hill to another . Every natural life has a good stance in this picture and though there's no sunlight it appears so beautiful upon this dark, cloudy day. This picture truelly touches the green era of plant and water life. Places like this is nicely preserved by nature for human eyes to see. There is no flaw to this picture.

Hi, Would it be OK with you if I use your photo of the Triberg Waterfall as the basis for a painting? I enjoy painting waterfalls every now and then, and experiment with different painting techniques. I want to try a new technique with this one. Viele Dank
(I have a folder in my gallery of previous waterfall paintings)

I will. I am using a very heavy texture technique. "Sculpting" the rocks with modeling paste. Then I will use Dry Brush techniques to build up the color on top of the textures

This is a stunning photograph, both in what the picture is, and in the color of it. Despite the lack of sun in the image, the greens are striking, and the water looks almost ethereal.
I wanted to leave a critique, but I couldn't come up with enough words!

A wonderful shot. One of these days I hope to get the chance to search out some interesting water falls and features in Germany , Switzerland and Northern Italy. I looked at several of your other gallery waterfall images all very well "seen" and "captured". Good Hunting.

Thank you very much
If you have the opportunity to travel, go for it.
Despite Germany being a small country we have around 500 waterfalls,
mainly located in the alpine region near the Austrian/Swiss border.

It's all about long shutter time to get the water smooth
Use a tripod always, effect is achieved at around 1/2 seconds and longer.
To get longer shutter time, lowest ISO, raise aperture value and maybe get a ND filter as well.
Practice a lot
Maybe that explains from a more professional sight: [link]
